Below 38 psi cold in the front, the steering on the 14 feels heavy to me. I run 34 F and R on the smaller bikes in the twisties, BT-016 Pros on everything. For track with these tires, I've see recommendations of 32 F and 30 R cold on the small bikes but not sure on the 14.

42/42 = I like to run on skates, slip and slide.
Cold = Higher the pressure the less friction meets the road.
30's psi = I'm getting warmer is to heat the tires...

... "Tried running 36 psi on the front, and took it back down to 30 psi immediately because the steering felt completely foreign to me."

20's psi = Some can't take how it upsets the bike is a lot of movement, but it is the [hotter] heated up tire setting.

Maybe it's whatever the rider feels comfortable with is it sure is. Why? Some guys/gals grow up on dirt and can apply that environment to a hard surface. Others that were young and that may not have ridden in the dirt at all; are spooked when it lets loose. Even today, riding with his kid in the dirt, it still goes back to how young you started and how much street/dirt, street/street applies is one example (I was surprised to notice)!

2015 - 25 = 1990. Whatheck was the HP at the time?
1990 + 9 = 1999. Who came out with 200mph bikes and the battle/wars began.
1999 + 16 = 2015. We see how today's cold and soft the tire begets a 25yr old compound?

I swear I'm totally baffled with how someone, anyone, can ride a bike like the 14 and get say,10k out of a rear tire.I'm no track guy,no TT master.I wouldn't say my riding is over the top.No way...I cruise at legal speeds all the time.Throw in a few high speed blasts...that's about it.75-85...that's about my cruising speeds. With the 'latest and greatest' tires on my bike(s)for maximum wear mileage.HOW does a guy ride, honestly,a 14 and get those kinds of mileages.I've asked this before.I get"I got this many miles"....but no comment about HOW they did this. That's what's frustrating sometimes.I mean...I'd LOVE to get 9K out of a rear tire.

This is a true statement.I put a high mileage(it was top quality..touted as being a high mileage sport/touring tire).I rode my 14 at legal speeds everywhere...honestly.For the life of that tire.Just to see.5500 miles later...it was done.So what gives?Again, this tire was the 'best' out there for this kind of performance.

I weigh 165 suited. So I'm definitely not 'too much' for any top end tire.My 14 weighs in at 540 full tank.My H2...500 even with full tank.I just don't get it with these high miles figures.

Yeah that was definitely the most i ever got on my tires, and why i changed them was after riding home from work i luckily parked it with the cords showing on my tires. A good 7 inch spot worn down. The bike is a 2012 and they were the original tires too!!! Truth is i only ride the bike 10 miles to work in traffic and maybe an hour tops on some weekend's from time to time. I have quite a bit of newer toys now and the 14 is just my ride to work toy when it's nice out. Hence why I'm no longer checking in anymore. But i thought I would keep an eye on the h2 for maybe another toy.
