Finally took her to the curves
07/01/15 8:41 AM

I finally took my new baby to a good curvy road, I'm speechless for a big bike she handles great and gave me more confidence with my ability, I'm so use to riding 400 lb sport bikes but at 50 years old getting way to cramped for me.
As you can see is was very HOT that day especially wearing full gear safety first. SHIT I felt like 25 again priceless....................After surviving cancer this made me forget about everything AWESOME.......

I agree, this bike handles very well for how much it weights. Pray your cancer stays in remission.

From what others on this forum have learned the hard way, this bike can be misleading when you start hitting corners

be careful and respect it's weight. And congrats on your health.

Congrats on your glee, and RESPECT for your tire wear! Great stuff.

I was privileged to have taken a two-day class in the eighties with Freddie Spencer as the lead instructor. I'm not bragging or thinking I'm cool, but I will say that what he emphasized as a matter of style that has never left me is SMOOTHNESS in every aspect of race riding.

(Let's call race riding what we all try to do with our bikes when we go fast.)

No more relevant is that teaching than with a heavy, deceptively fast (via stability and great geometry) machine like the ZX-14R. I have been in corners in the last three weeks that might have seen my misfortune had I not been patient and gradual with the bars and throttle during corrective activity. I've dived into plenty of turns 10 mph faster than I thought I was going and had to make adjustments that would have launched me had I not had smooth habits.

Enough about that. Back to your tire: Good stuff!

I have Michelin Pilot Power 3s on mine and love 'em.

Thank you everybody, I've been cancer free for 1 year, I made it through many surgeries but I have one more surgery for my hip but that will be a piece of cake compared to my cancer. thank you again .
I bought my white ZX 14R as a graduation to me for surviving stage 3 cancer, my relatives are not happy, I do not sit home and say "could of should of" enjoy your time that you have.thx

Nice! Now get that bike over to Europe and do Route Napoleon or rent a bike. Trust me, it's a must do.
