I've heard of problems with the Pingle electric shifter so do your research. There are some very nice strain gauge quickshifters out there now for about the same money.

Rook he's asking about an air shifter, just guessing but I bet he doesn't want a quick shifter.

An air shifter makes a cool noise but serves the same purpose as a strain gauge shifter. I guess some might prefer clicking a button with the thumb rather than footshifting but other than that, it's the same general idea. An air shifter is gonna weigh about 3 lbs and a strain gauge is a half pound at most.

Rook I love your threads i really do but in this 1 instance i think you're wrong. If he's going to drag race the air shifter will work much better. Not having to rush to get your feet on the pegs and still being able to shift would be a big difference. Being able to set it up to auto shift is another on the street unless you're running an on board compressor the quick shifter is a better tool. Just my opinion having used both

Yup, drag racers often are ready to hit second before they have their feet up or maybe some might leave their legs back even longer. Air shifter or electric is the way to go.

I'm wrong a LOT!! LOL thanks to both of you for clarifying.

Way to go Rook

Anyone who thinks they are perfect is flawed. I prefer people that aren't afraid to admit that they make mistakes.

I am actually just finishing up putting an air shifter on mine. I had to go a little bit of a different route because the kill box I got required a negative signal from the horn and the gen 2 14 supplies a positive trigger. It's wasn't too bad though.
