Hi Romans, and a happy new year, bit late but hey I ve been doing the family thing........
besides the snow has arrived along with the cold and wet..........dont mind either the cold or wet but there is a limit!

Nice installation on this kit, it doesnt leave much room for a filter but nice bit of exhaust poking out!

Any movement with your motor, what have you been doing lately?

I had three weeks abroad around christmas, inlaws, my wife s parents! It was good to chill out but man I was itching to get into the garage to tinker with my bike.
I just got my front mudguard back from paint, standard colour grey which a pal painted for me, i broke it and bent a disc with a bloody disc lock!!! wont be doing that again! He has a highly modified zx12r and we have talked about turboing it....
have you had any more thoughts on what to do with your bike?

Hey grin your alive lol Been lonely over here lol. Family thing sounds real nice.

Grin I've been working on the garage every spare second. We moved into a new place. It had bare walls in the garage -11c out there lol. Well it was. Furnace now installed, wired top to bottom, drywall is now up. Taped it this weekend. I suck at sanding so have to pay some one, grrrrrr,,,, due to my oversanding issue lol But soon will have a heated bike shop. Getting pumped. Then we build stuff.

Ok , gonna throw something in now, These power runs are done in second gear, of course you will get high power and torque figure in this gear........its ok if all runs on all bikes are done in second gear(subject to the overall gearing being the same ratios on other bikes)whats the general consensus on this???????????

Zero issues with the kit. How ever there is the Issue is with boost Greed. Crack for gear heads, always want more.

Romans I don't see the air cleaner sticking out and it looks like you have a full pipe? It that right? The main reason why I never wanted to go that route was because I didn't like the air cleaner out in the open like most boosted bikes and then the wide open exhaust out the side. I do a lot of miles touring and I couldn't live with those two issues.....ride bike looks awesome for real.....

PS not to shabby on the garage either :)

I too hate the dump pipe. Getting to old for that racket. I paid more to have full pipe made but was worth every penny to me. Richard has done a great job keeping me stealth. The filter is visible but only to the trained eye. Less than 1/3 shows and is black so you must realy be looking for it. My gas milage off boost is over the top,, boost not so much

Hey Roman I just noticed something here. What is the difference between the kit for the gen1 and gen2? The turbo is on the right on the old one and on the left on the 14r.

This was one of the first zx14 customers who wanted Turbo kit. The Kit itself is basically the same. Set up this way No exhaust option, dump pipe only.

I really wanted right side exhaust exit so Richard went into making me one. Now I have the option to run Dump pipe on track day or muffler for everyday street use. With Right hand side exhaust turbo is more centered and stealthy, cost is oil cooler must go.

So if i wanted dump pipe only i can do the first style and keep the oil cooler? I think that is the way I'd like to go.

RE: RCC Turbo ZX-14

I'm investigating a 2012 onwards zx14r as a 'base' and looking at a rcc turbo kit for it. I've been reading for the past two weeks about turbos and zx14s and I think I have more questions now than when I started.....

I live in a hot climate (similar to Florida), but want between 250-300 at the wheel. Obviously this kit claims around that figure with room for improvement. Is it as simple as but the complete kit, install and hey presto (after getting a dyno tune)? Would getting a rising reg and some other minor fuel mods be enough to get to that 300 mark? I'd like to avoid a strip and rebuild if I can, but I want daily reliability, so are the figures I'm looking at achievable?

I want to keep it stock looking, with exhaust not a dump, and air filter hidden if possible (we also get torrential rain, don't want water ingested if I get caught in that sort of rain)

I have many, many more questions but not really sure where to start. I live in Australia, so everything costs double what you guys pay for things. Better to do my research at the start and do it right!
