Engine Dies when pushing in the clutch
06/01/17 7:40 AM

Hello,
It doesnt always happen, but sometimes i'll arrive at a light and come to a stop, then i realize that the air conditioning stops coming out cold and the service engine light comes on. Then the third thing i realize is that the RPMs are at 0, the engine turned off. (The Service Engine light always comes on when the engine stalls and turns off when you start the car again)

I always engine brake when i stop, put it in 3rd sometimes 2nd and the clutch it at the end and put it in nuetral until the light changes. when this happened to me it usually happened at a light close to my house while the engine is still warming up. Since engine braking stops the flow of fuel to the engine, (I am ready to confirm this to anyone who thinks otherwise) clutching it all of a sudden causes the RPMs to fall to Idle speed and the fuel pump has to kick back in to maintain it there, sometimes it falls too low and the engine dies. (It happens rarely though) When this happens i dont feel a rumble or shake. ive never looked into this or have given it much importance. I think its a normal glitch that happens sometimes. Its also very hard to replicate. Ive tried when stopping at lights. There's probably be an exact rpm that while engine braking you can push the clutch in and the engine's rpms will go below idle speed and the engine will just shut off.

Please Help.
Thanks !

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

When you push the clutch in on certain days, with a cold engine near you home, the fuel pump stops with clutch pushed in. It doesn't always happen is when you don't ride it. Sometimes you don't wanna stop so keep going. When the air conditioning turns off, turn down the fan so you are not pushing hot air and the cold air has a chance to catch up. Yes, being aware of 0 rpm is a good thing. At most lights [when I'm not timing them] I run 0 rpm when engine braking.

Correct, you need to keep slipping that clutch so the parts wear out sooner, where leaving the bike in whatever gear and engine brake till it runs 0 rpm, find 1st, wait for the light to change, lever pushed, off you go. So gas wise this happens occasionally and the fuel pump stops on occasion, but otherwise it never stops. You wanna confirm that on your end say? Sounds silly how you come to a stop all the time and no fuel pump shuts off, but you take off, engine brake it till it 'mechanically' stalls [compression], is that it still has spark, still has fuel, hello? Cunt firmed! See, a cunt likes a firm one and anyone can confirm that. Then you rumble and shake and it's more thumping the crank. That's what you want. Keep doing it. Squids Rock!

Your welcome.

I found the solution on the net.
