Hello All,

Picked by baby up from the shop on Friday. Used MotoMan's break-in method. The bike runs excellent! A friend followed me- no smoke, no sonic booms from the Brocks.

The dealer had to send my engine back to Kawi so they can investigate and figure out what happened. I will followup with them to see what the problem was. Possible recall..?

The PC never came up as a topic of discussion when I picked it up. I asked initially if it would be an issue with the warranty and was told by the mechanic it would not be. I think Kawi was more interested in doing their own diagnosis on the engine than anything else. There was no paperwork to sign or anything- just like picking it up following a regular service. I am interested to know what the problem was.

Sonic booms are back... Going to look into a dyno

Hey zx1441xz,

Did you find out anything about your old engine? Was it an oiling issue? My '12 ZX14R just went BOOM with 3,600 miles.

ZX1441, glad to hear you are back on your mount, my brotha. As I read here, what an ordeal for you to go through.

I have a 2012 r and would love to know what Kawi tells you, they probably will not release any info voluntarily...but I am at 2700km and hope to never experience
