block off plates , will it throw an error code?

I was told that on the gen 2 if you take the fogger off it will give a check engine light. trying to avoid that so is there a way if true to keep the light from going on?

Keep the actuator connector connected to the actuator. No code will trigger. Block off hose that runs up the ram chamber; then block off hole at ram chamber where hose goes up in. Wine cork, cone style rubber plug, use goop glue to keep cork/plug stationary at the ram; and at the hose. Actuator won't know it's not sucking air, and ECU won't spit a code with the actuator still connected.

On my zx14 I left the PAIR valve installed and just did the marble in the
PAIR valve intake. PAIR valve bypassed

On my zx10 I removed the PAIR valve and installed
a jumper in the connector end so that it doesn't
throw a code.

This is a very simple circuit. Closed or Open.
A jumper closes the circuit. Some people use a resistor
to jump the circuit I just used a plain jumper wire.

marble in the PAIR valve intake

That's just a metaphor for blocking the PAIR Valve intake hose.
Can be done many different ways. Anything that blocks the hose, A marble,
cork, rubber plug, dowel rod, etc...

Here's Brock's red plug install instructions .....

IF the PAIR on the ZX-14R is anything like the PAIR on my Yamaha R3, the advantage of removing ALL the parts and replacing the plates with block-off plates, is that you drop over a couple of pounds of weight, from relatively high up in the bike, PLUS make the engine area much easier to work on due to better access.

Yes, PAIR valve bypassed. Now ready to tune and no more annoying back firing.
