Hey all, is there any way to tell whether or not you have a California model as opposed to the non-california model. Do I have to call kawasaki or can I tell by the Vin number. Thanks

Very easy to tell. If you have 2 white information stickers on your gas tank it's a CA model. There is also a hose routing sticker under the seaOt on the CA model. Last the drain hoses coming out of the gas tank are marked in blue and green.

The man on top of the mountain didn't fall there.

Remove seat:
1. At the back of the tank = 3 nipple hoses out the back w/hoses = Cali model.
2. At the back of the tank = 2 nipples are present with black hoses attached = 48 State model

Hub they changed the vapor recovery system in 2012. My 2012 was a Cali model and only had 2 hoses coming out of the tank.

The man on top of the mountain didn't fall there.
