+1 Mad. Like last year, I never watched one play of football on line, tv, you name it. So I have no clue what ball name you throw at me, I could not associate them with that type ball. Maybe I'd have better luck naming a few motogp, moto dirt, and other type different bikes [like balls], I may have heard of them and associate the bike to the rider.

So once you know a bike rider's name and stats like I should know who the fuck you are talking about, take your fucking ball games and jump the hell off your chair, couch, bed, flooring it is so fucking boring!

America and Australia have so much in common.
That's why we over here have so much time for you guys over there...

But its Australia Day on 26th Jan so I figured I'd give rugby league a wrap over American football and stir up some controversy.

Padding that makes a bloke look 3 times his original size.

There are so many players that are in teams within a team that you could meet a team mate in a bar and not even know he plays for the same team!
There is infinitely more stop than play.
Endurance fitness is not a major priority due to the stop / start nature of the game and the amount of players in teams within teams that spend time off the field for a nice rest.
The last 3 minutes always seems to go for 1 hour.
And lastly, the celebrating is more over the top than some European soccer teams.

Same bash the crap out of each other mentality but without the Michelin man protective gear.
Of the 13 guys that take the field, most are on for the whole game so you'd better be bloody fit to keep up with the pace.
It's a fast game that has very few stoppages.
There is no team within a team within a team. One team. That's it. Youre all in it together to defend, attack, kick, etc.
Plus you celebrate like a goose and you become an instant target to the opposition and probably receive a lesson you won't soon forget.

And yet there is quite an American football following in Australia.
Each to their own I guess...

No American football at all over here, well none that I have ever seen.
Rugby,Rugby,and Rugby.
We also prefer no padding, no helmets, and the average size bloke is 120kg.
We are damn good at it. Even beat the All Blacks the other day.

i do love watching the AM football fans and how they have just as much passion, fun and comrade before a game as any of us Rugger fans.

we are not bad at it either for a small nation...and recently beat you guys ;))

And you'd probably win the drinking games and fighting afterwards as well.

I reckon that pretty much anyone who challenges an Irishman to a drinking contest or fight will end up in a world of hurt in either case.

We are sore losers. We don't talk about the games we don't win.
We don't do too bad at the fights either. Sometimes you can get good value for money. a rugby game and a boxing match all in one ticket lol

I think we exported a high percentage of our dumbasses to australia over the last few years, some of them been hitting the headlines recently, i think SA might just kick our ass in the fight, some serious hard men in that squad

we seem to be exporting/losing a lot of our players to France and Japan. None the less Super 15 starts in two weeks again. That's great Rugby.

Stormers for me. We had a cracker local season last year and won our Currie Cup, so hope We can maintain that and finish stronger this year in the Super 15

They had it in thier grasp the last 20 seconds but threw an interception, and it was over.

Well it's either drink to celebrate or drink to forget. It's the worst to lose it in the dying minute.

Ugh. I wonder if that pass play was actually the play that was called or if Wilson was doing his own thing. Definitely was an exciting game, even though the wrong team won.

Here we go again! Hopefully Denver will win today or at least make a game of it. Going to be quite a task to beat the Panthers.
