I have the Sylvania, "Silverstar" in my old Turbo, duel filament bulb so I can not do HID"s. It is noticeably brighter and it shines just a tad blue, like my low beam 6000 HID's in the 14. I believe the blue light is a bit more noticeable to the cagers, so in my mind a little safer. I don't know if they make then for H-9 or H-11's though???
Steven was bragging about a replacement bulb he uses for his high beams. He said they were a good color match with his HID low beams. But I don't remember what they were. Maybe he'll see this.

Well, here's what I am thinking.. for another small project. I was going to install a radar detector into the ram air hole since I don't need the opening any longer.
After considering that, and loosing my rear-ward detiection from the V1, I decided to mount the detector in an aerodynamic housing, shaped like one of the side mirrors, instead, leaving the hole empty again.
I will be putting in low and high HID's, and thought of putting a PID into the center hole, now that I know they are pretty darn bright, and use that as a 'flasher' (that I don't use!).
