Happy Thanksgiving, fellow forum members. For those of you lucky enough to be in warmer weather and can get out on your ZX14/ZX14r, ride safe.

Thanks to God for all of the freedom we have to do what we want in the greatest place in the world with the greatest people in the world!

And to the sacrifices others make so we are free and prosperous.

God bless to you all and your families and loved ones!

Especially thankful today because its a beautiful rainy day in SoCal

I attended the 49th year of the Poarch-Creek Indian Pow wow outside of Atmore, AL. One of my Army Buddies is a Creek. I had not seen him since 1973.
Fascinating to see Indian Tribes' costumes from across the country.

Wichita Tribe

Shoshone Tribe

My Buddy with his Great-granddaughter.

Thanksgiving Day was a great day for me.

Thanksgiving can be a little bit of a touchy subject with many Native Americans. Our community here in Winter, WI has a rich Native American heritage. There is no animosity at all here, I am glad to say. Everyone honors all traditions whether they be Indian or European. We're all Americans first and that seems to be the way just about everyone here feels. Celebrating Native American tradition during Thanksgiving is a positive way to educate everyone about the role Native American history plays in modern day North America. Respect to all Native Americans.

...and I hope you all had a very good TG!! Mine was restful. We had a whole week and two weekends off (there is a rich tradition of deer hunting here too) but tomorrow it's time to go back.
