OCTOBER MADNESS!!!
10/11/11 2:44 PM

Here's my pics for who's going to get a new 14R ASAP:

1. NINJAMASTER
The man has 20 motorcycles. So when he say he is going to buy it I believe him.

2. BLUE
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

3. HUB
"I want my 1000RR slayer". Plus the electro are going to keep this guy busy

4. DOGOZX
The dark force has taken over

5. DONNY
Will get 1 as soon as his zx-14 is sold. He is likely to trade it in

6. ROMANS
Just look at his garage!

7. BIGWILLIE
It's a tough one. He's also thinking about the duc. I'm saying he's getting both.

ok, now I know you guys won't agree with me for sure on this 1 but my wild card is.....:

PRIVATEER
The man said he wanted to slow down and get a Connie. BUT he also said he wanted to make the 14 a drag so He's going to wait for the 14R to get to the dealership before he gets is Connie so he can check it out. He's going to seat on the R, find it comfortable and think about mods whether it's Drag or Touring, the dealer's going to say how she runs cooler now, how she has more power , more refined and... that's all she wrote.

Don't feel offended if I left you out or included your name. I just had too much free time today. loool

7. BIGWILLIE
It's a tough one. He's also thinking about the duc. I'm saying he's getting both.

On target on my account - I only have to finish three things first:
1. Practicing the "I need another bike" pitch for the wife in the mirror (Been buttering her up for the last two days),
2. Deciding whether or not I will really keep the "old" one (looking like it could be the case, may give it to my nephew...) or sell to build up needed cash...
3. Deciding whether to get the 14R first or the Diavel!

I'm in for the new one, just a matter of when. Get one now (soon as they are available and I get some "real" impressions from real riders - i.e. one of you guys!!!), the wait on my "cruiser" of choice, the Ducati Diavel until summer 2012, or get the Ducati first and wait on the 14R until summer. Choices, choices.

When the ripper rips, come next project leader, throw me in the 1# position. And it better be faster than the snot that comes out of my nose in the morning. I've been smelling my upper lip for some lip service from now until then. Everyearipper it better. Meantime, I'll be servicing this thing till it comes along. When? 2017?

It's fast, it's pretty, it's comfortable, but will the damn thing TURN?!
Wonder why KHI is keeping the wheelbase measurement so noticeably unpublished. Just read the Roadracing World first write-up on it.. Roadracing World
They talked about the flex and rigidity changes to the chassis, also mentioned the 10mm longer swingarm "to match the new frame's rigidity balance", but no mention of how far it is between contact patches.
Lotta talk about "nimble handling" and such thrown about, but I've also seen the phrase "long and low" used. These two descriptions are an oxymoron. You cannot have one and keep the other.
This is the main "go-no go" on whether I look further at the new R bike. Hopefully we get some real world (Sport Rider/Roadracing World) ride reviews soon.

Yup, went back and checked the spec sheet on Kawi's site, and it has appeared.
Almost a full inch longer than an '11 ZX-14, and exactly the same as a Gen 2 Busa. Was afraid of that.

I'm still thinking (hoping) current arm will swap... can be picked up for $100 or less all day long.

Haha, good one, my wife said she expects to see the new 14 in the driveway any day now! I went to the dealer today, they were closed, sign said they're at the dealer show, be back Wed 2pm! I'm a sad sack, you are likely right, trade it in...

NoS Baby!

my TiForces will fit on there...ya think?

Me think YES Blue! loool

throw me in the 1# position

Not so fast. Don't forget those handling fees. Then Again do... I would love to see you run out of the dealership with bags and gear and then take off on the 14 R

I will not be surprised if Kruz gets one but I think he will sell off the 06.

I was going to include him but he said many times he wasn't going to do the switch! I can see him change his mind if he hears good review from owners.

You can put me down for one as well. Might take me 12 months.. but I'll be getting one.

I'm curious to see how many 14R are going to be sold on this forum alone!
You funny DK... I'm all in if it makes an honest 185rwhp straight outta the box... that's my magic #.

lool. RG saying race me and win 1... that's also an oxymoron lool. It better reach 185rwhp! I see you logic. The 14 is 165rwhp and we were expecting plus 20rwhp so the 14R better have 185rwhp which is a number hard to reach even with ct duals and pc on the old 14! Plus that would enable the 14 R to reach north of 200hp after mods. What about the weight though! Like hub I want a 1000RR slayer. If the 14R can get close to 210 or shed lots of weight then it would live up to the hype. Also let's hope the 14R ECU is easier to flash than the 10R.

! I'm a sad sack, you are likely right, trade it in...

U only live once. Go for it!

RE: OCTOBER MADNESS!!!

My bike begins at 1:16 mark. You can't beat the traditional 3-color mode these bikes come in. Blue for blue, and the other two for me. Black is first, but color does not sell the bike. I already figured out the snorkelixiring integrity the second time they showed the intake scoop. I'll never remove that pre-rammer chamber again. That is some bottom grunt no shit!

Pin me up for 3rd again. We're getting warm. Dealer show is the charm. I have to physically see the parts. I'll guess and make up some meguyveerant about that tone ring up front. WOT is to say they cannot use both an ignition release on the front wheel not matching rear wheel like in a millisecond that wheel slows up front. Down goes the sub or who knows the multi-trigger they set off.

I need to watch the ignition and sub arm in slow mo. I would need tons of cameras on the crank/sub/tach/front wheel. Those are 4 pro whatever minicams in position to know for sure. If the bike is up in pounds, light in wheel, that says servo pac. ABS with wheel retract.

RE: OCTOBER MADNESS!!!

And to stay in compliant in weight? You go match an OEM tire once you get that bike under you again or just feel the difference in tires. Say you buy over the net, as opposed to ordering the same part again out of the parts book = Poor handling once you are out of comply of ply. Yuck-Yuck 2 up(?)

Say, if, and I mean this in a complimentary (I'd like to have one of those myself kind of) long, dusty, parched, riding trail kind of way; Butt if, 'Saddle Tramp' wants to go fast 2-UP? That means big time bucks for the lighter tires out of the book. Faster eater uppers because they are light, less rubber, faster get the fork out the way or I'll find that 'gang-sliver' past you.

Kind of heads up we are coming if that darn federal headlight does dang near nothinget a grip on the steering wheel and start driving again!

What about the weight though!

The extra weight... the extra length... and the extra width... Not happy about those three things, but overall there are more positives than negatives.

Extra weight...remove cans.

That's a given... But mod for mod new bike will weigh more than the current.

Extra length...?

Shoulda said wheelbase... WB is longer... step in the wrong direction for what I will use the bike for.

Extra width...1/2 inch?

Yes... You never scraped your lowers?

You aint gonna feel ANY extra weight

Stock for stock... I'd bet new bike will actually feel lighter... but it ain't.

Anyhoo... like I said... positives outweigh (no pun intended) the negatives.
