A picture is a 1000 words. I hope this helps anyone who is looking. The one good thing about dealing with Hot bodies was the customer support. The Manager reviewed these photos and deducted the full price of my wind screen off their new under tail kit for the ZX-6R. This kit for the 6 required only minor adjustments for proper fit. It was not cheap but looks great and we Love it.

Romans,
I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Are the straws showing unwanted gaps or are they spacers of some kind?
Is the green bike showing a missing mounting hole in the screen?
Please elaborate. .
Like to see a pic of the undertail kit too!

Sharkey, you have nailed it with the unwanted gaps . The sixer holes were off but nothing that could not be fixed. I do realize that nothing can compare to the fit of OEM, but what I received was one hell of a shock. I do not often ride in the rain but sometimes it can't be helped. With the gaps in the ZX-14 wind screen the water is channeled down into the nose of the bike on top of the head light bulbs. This is what pissed me off the most . I love the look of this wind screen and it is still on my bike but I just wanted the members to be aware there is a issue, and Hotbodies is also aware of it. I'm not the first to report this. So like I said a picture is a 1000 words and all who see this can make there own call. I relocated the well nuts under the screen and this has closed some of the gap but believe me the fit is still crap. If anyone has a hotbodies wind screen with a perfect fit I would love to see a pic of the of same area that I'm showing here. On a happy note it looks great from 10 Feet away and it is only upon close inspection that any one even notices.

Rick Mayer made the seat. You send your seat along with pics of you sitting on the bike and specific requests. Quick turnaround and quality work. All day comfort for me.
My windshield preference is as follows:
MRA DB is best when you want a high speed low drag set up. More wind protection than stock but little or no penalty as far as drag.
Zero Gravity ST kicks the wind up higher than MRA or Stock with Laminar Lip but causes some buffeting and noise.
Laminar Lip in stock configuration is in my opinion better than the ZG ST. It gives smoother air flow and almost the same reduction in wind pressure.
Modified mounting of Laminar Lip, (raised with stand Off and relocated higher on stock windshied is wonderful. Very smooth air and relaxed cruising at any speed.

Do any of you have a problem with insects on your tank after a hard ride? Could this be the screen that I am using? I have a double bubble and I seem to get a lot of buffeting/turbulence when we go fast. The guys with the MRA screens with the holes in say they do not have this problem. I am 6ft 1 inch and weigh 245 lbs and find it difficult to tuck onto the tank at high speeds. (160+, which we do often)I am also a bit older (54) so not so flexible! Your experiences would be good as I am thinking of changing to the MRA sport or touring screen.

I have the same EXACT issue with the v-2 from Lockhart/Phillips,and with the v-flow from Sportech. Looks good till you walk up to the bike and you can see the gauges in the gap left by not having a factory style bead around the edges. More profit from a simple mold rather than a good one like Zero Gravity and Puig. My problem is they dont offer their shields in chrome. Anybody got another source on windscreens that are a quality fit in chrome. Sorry if this is sort of a thread jack, but i have been looking since i bought my 08. Thanks.
