Well Congrats SnuffyZX!

I just turned in my 07 in trade, but the word from kawi to the dealer is that my new one is NOT in the pipeline to my door yet.

Blaming tsunami on delayed shipping, but I ordered sometime at or before most of you that have a bike already, I think.
Only Grn ordered ahead of me for sure! He hasn't got his yet either.

Looks like NY and Texas are on the favored list for earliest arrival.

Oh well! Winter sets in here this next week anyhooo........

I only ordered it the saturday before last so I did not expect it for another few weeks based on how long Seno waited, but today I got the call. The sales guy even gave me choice between the Green and the Blue they recieved them both today, I told him green of coarse!

Congrats Bro!!!! Glad your ride is in and will soon be in your hands!!! Few more months and I'll have mine - my dealer (Grapevine Kawasaki) already has them on the floor! And they even have them BEFORE the big Mega Dealer out on Loop 820 in Fort Worth! Going to check em out tomorrow!

Dealers here told me they would not have them until after the first of the year... I'm going to Cali to get a peek.

Its freaking cold here. Hit November 30th and its like someone threw a switch. Warm-ish before the 30th, painfully cold after.

I'm guess unless we get a rare warm Saturday or Sunday during January, my C14 is going to sit in the back room at my dealership until we get a warm-ish early spring day.

Though quite a few COG guys have offered to come get it and break it in for me, then park it in my garage. In January. F$%k riding in cold weather. LOL.

But, I was over there at the dealership the other day, and they are talking like they may be getting their first 3 2012 ZX14s and 2 C14s in December now. Earlier than they expected.

No matter to me, until riding season gets here, I don't care how long it takes for them to be delivered.

Didn't you say they had a blue one too? You could save a few weeks! And a few $; not to mention not attracting police so easily.

Well DoGo thats a good question....they said they are ordering a new set of fairings but do U think there could be more than meets the eye as far as damage to this bike?

After seeing Seno's bike on its pallet with the metal rods holding it in place how the hell did they damage those particular fairings if it happened in transit?

If you look at the pipe it has a scratch or even a slight dent on it from the impact so my question is how could that have happen after it was crated up?

What do you guys think?

Paul the blue is tempting just because its there but I just had the blue and i kinda like the rims that come on the green one.

THAT didn't happen in transit...It can't go anywhere in the crate.It wouldn't have hit that spot anyway,not with the front wheel protecting that area right there.When they ship these,the box is attached to the bottom of the crate,right?I mean,no one can get in there and mess with it can they?Isn't the outside of the crate plywood or something..it's in a cage right?THIS pisses ME off...for you.

Fu#$ Snuffy!Man...sorry.I know how ya feel.FU@#!!!!!Yeah,there's a tad of damage to the header there.It wasn't the plastic fairing that did that.Something got wedged in there.Something with a sharp edge to it to indent that pipe the way it did.Don't they come from Kawasaki in the crates?Bummer Snuff.I mean...the guys at the shop most likely did it.Somehow.I don't know what they'd be doin stickin somethin in there....why would they need to lift the exhaust?Looks like that's what they maybe tried to do?Lift the bike over an edge or somethin?Is the very tip of the fairing there damaged?Like it smacked into something?Did you see em remove it from the crate?That's not a Kawasaki move there.Some bonehead fucked up at the shop.

When I got my BEAUTIFUL 07....one of those guys there scraped a friggin 4 inch gash on the right belly fairing,just below when it starts angling in towards the fairing mount.You couldn't see it till ya looked way over and down.Vertical scrape,like someone's boot hit it while they were 'tryin' to find the footpeg without lookin.Took another three or four days to get a replacement fairing.Sorry man...I know it bums ya out.They need to replace your exhaust with that as well.FU&^!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know...WTF?????You have "professionals" supposedly workin at the dealers.How difficult IS IT to remove a bike from a pallet without damaging it?Geez.Unfuckinbelievable!Sorry for the expletives...it just GETS me how some of these guys are such imbeciles.Exactly why I tried to do most of the wrenching on my other baby.Got my own guy that used to work for the dealer here...great mechanic...knows how to be careful on someone's bike.Knows sportbikes inside out.

That's the kind of thing that either makes or breaks someones trust.IF I had damaged a guys bike like that...I'd tell em..."ya...I messed up there,but we're gonna get er right for ya...this is what happened..I'm really sorry,but that's the ONLY damage that occurred,the bike didn't fall over or anything"..at least be straight up with it.

Had a NEW...brand new Harley Heritage Classic way back when...2000.Took er to the shop for something...can't remeber what just now.They did the work or whatever.Got my BEAUTIFUL bike back.Happened to glance down at the rear pillion there.HUGE 5 inch scratch...deep...right there at the sissy bar on top of the fender.FUC#I was disappointed to say the least.Afte I calmed down I went in to the shop foreman...told him..."you know...I'm not gonna make a big deal outta this..but yer mechanic over there just returned my new bike with this in it"...He was like WTF?.I never said anything to the mech.But he did...which I really didn't want him to do necessarily.Dude comes over and starts tellin me how he couldn't have done it...Yeah...okay.Whatever.I KNOW he did it,cause I almost did it myself removing the seat once before.There was a certain way you had to lift that seat off of there,or...you'd gouge that fender.He wasn't payin attention when he took the sat off...I recognized it right away,what he had done.After that...I never wanted to take my bike back to that dealer EVER...but I kinda had to...it was the only one around for many miles.Lost total respect for that mechanic,who I thought was a pretty cool guy before that.If he'd have just brought it to my attention,manned up,and said.."you know...I blew it right here...we're gonna get ya a new fender there"....it would have been fine with me.As it ended up..I never trusted that shop again.Most guys will accept "I messed up" way better than.."I didn't do that".We KNOW our bikes.C'mon...stop insulting me fella.

Could be, but doubt it... looks like it was hit either putting it in or taking it outta the crate.

Don't think it could have happened in transit... but stranger things have happened.

Looks like it's dented in the pic... If you're just planning to change the thing anyway, maybe get them leave the header and take a chunk off of the price.

If it were me, I'd look the thing over with a fine tooth comb... If satisfied the damage is just the lower fairing and small dent in header, I'd want new lowers and $500 minimum (would start at $1000) off for the dent in the header... If they didn't agree... I'd say get me another green SE without damage, or give me back my deposit... but that's me... it's your money.

That SHIT was erking the HELL out of me all FN afternoon!

I just called the salesman and told him I would not exept that bike and to order me a FRESH ONE!

I explained to him that after further investigation of the picture that I noticed that the header pipe looked damaged as well.

He didn't even put up any kind of a fuss just said no problem I don't blame you one bit and said he should have another in about a week?!? No Clue? To Easy?

To Easy?"...ya....they did that damage.That's why.Good for you Snuffy!NEW baby comin...UNDAMAGED.Bet that dude whoever did that just lost his job...he should.Unexcusable IMO.They're SUPPOSED to be quality workers...especially with YOUR property.

That kind of damage just can't happen in a sealed crate...and you KNOW Kawasaki didn't do that,then pawn it off on the customer.No way.

Glad ya got er sorted...took some balls to tell em that I'm sure.I'd have a hard time with that one myself.
