FS- 2006 zx14 front and rear wheel with tires. Nothing wrong with them, stock brown, switched them out for a set of silver-colored.
Located in Lower Fairfield County, near CT/NY border.
Cleaning out garage: make me an offer.

I decided to strip them down to the metal and repaint with Imron silver. I have one half of the rear wheel stripped and it is going pretty slow. Paint comes off the outer rim easily but the spokes and hubs were painted by the devil and evil. I didn't think anyone was interested.

Sorry for the delay of the photo.
As you can see in the updated photo, I got one side of the rear wheel stripped. Looks pretty good and a minimal amount of work actually. This does not include the inner wheel area, though. That is proving harder to do.
Make me an offer on these.

Not sure if these have sold or not, but the best way I've found to completely remove factory wheel coating is Aircraft stripper.

I used to do aluminum polishing, and this stuff cut through anything. It used to be a paste-like gel consistency, and I assume they've not changed the formula. You simply paintbrush it on liberally and let it sit for 5-10 minutes then rinse with water hose. Repeat if necessary until the bare aluminum is exposed.
The paint just bubbles right off the surface of the wheel, even the stubborn heavily pitted sandcast portion of the mag and hub. Towel dry before prime and paint, then clear coat the ever living shit out of them to keep the finish looking great. Do that and your wheels will be like new

just use a chemical resistant brush if you can find one cuz it will eat a cheap one up, lol ack me how I know that!
