I have to say right here...the manual(owner's)is full of phrases like...'wheelying'...."wheel spin"...stuff like that.It mentions more than once about using the throttle 'prudently' with the Ktrc turned off.I LOVE IT!!!!!!WoHoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I wished it didn't have it".It can be switched OFF Wheelie(as you know already)...me no understand your statement.

I have an idea that the ONLY thing the secondaries are doing concerning this Ktrc mode is softening the punch.I think the Ktrc is gonna work the same as it's supposed to regardless. And I don't think there'll be any involvement with the Ktrc OFF.So removing them will probably be just fine I'm thinkin.Hoping.Gonna find out pretty soon now anyway!

I never thought about that front wheel ...not turning.I guess you can't really 'tune' it with the Ktrc "ON"?????Probably wouldn't want to anyway. You'd most likely want "OFF" to be total full power...including possible wheel spin.

RE: Here we go with the flies again

so next I wonder.. when ktrc is 'off' is it really and completely off? I hope so, but with government regulations the way they are, it is possible that Kawasaki have to leave a little bit of protection enabled at all times. That would suck but not surprise me. Hence the original question about making sure that both wheels are spinning at same speed. That would ensure ktrc does not think there is wheel spinning or wheelying going on. and no I don't have a 14R I have my 08 14 with a few mods, including yanked flies, PC etc
i spent a lot of coin on this thing. I am thinking of trading up to the 14R but i'd like to know what i'm getting into before i take money out of the family budget and put it into my ride.

:)

I haven't even ridden mine yet...but believe me...so far....first impression....get the 14R.Everything just feels better about this bird...I'll be riding her home tomorrow.I can post up some thoughts about her.I did sit on er...geez...what a difference that seat felt like(for starters). And she actually felt lighter than my 07.I don't know HOW they managed that...maybe the CG is lower or something?

I think that Ktrc once turned OFF is totally off.The owners manual says when that's disabled, use the throttle 'prudently'...we know what that means

There's around 8 separate settings for the Ktrc/Power management aspect of it.From fully off,to whatever. It's quite trick.VERY.Going to be an awesome bike...that's for sure.

You got it, Wee. I'll mode that ignition and sub once again on the R. I'm a day late a penny short; if I had trac when the throttle stuck, the front came up, I could have had a chance at the recovery. No shit, I do believe I could have saved it if I had the switch on and this kind of bike today.

Dogo? You mean, you rather not take a ride withe hub on your stopover or you'll never get where your going?

Na, We'll take it slow. Soak up the what the state has to offer as far as scenery goes. Maybe the rock will be quiet on Sat. The long beach show is going on at the same time. If it happens, PM me later this week so we can meet someplace to make arrangements.

Slow?... Nah... Brisk maybe? Buddy has only been on the street 2 years, but dirt since diapers... and he's a freekin' lightweight jockey on a 10r... He nuts up, we could be sucking fumes... NOT!

Will PM ya me contact info... Hitch is sorted, and on schedule to leave Thurs morning...
