Romans can your ZX-14 turbo run a 8.55 on pump gas?

I'm sure it could,,,, with the same jockey, faster, would love to see what she could do with a 140lb rider. That weight is not in the cards for me. Last time I weighed that I was 17 lol. Those are some Sweeeet #'s for sure. Congrats. Wish we could see the video.

When i was racing my gen 1 bikes i would range from mid 146 to as much as 150 pounds with gear ... So my best guess is 140 to 142 geared up

Smokin, is a nice guy who is very experienced at drag racing (not a pro, but damn close to it). I don't think he has a narcissistic attitude, just has a lot of time on his hands and likes to show progression & results. How else did we all learn that pulling the flies was a great mod on Gen 1's? Because of people who share their progression & results. I am going to be narcissistic next week when posting results from ECUnleashed working on my bike for a week removing speed limiter, moving rev limiter up, advancing timing, removing TRE in lower gears, opening flies earlier, and adding a custom tune directly to the factory ECU....(Yes, I was fortunate that my friend has a tuning center & arraigned for them to use my bike as the "prototype 2012 14R". Maybe I shouldn't be so narcissistic and not share the results, so you have to spend your money to see if it's a good upgrade. I would hate to be called a narcissist.

No one was calling Smokin a narcissist... That comment was aimed directly at Grn14... Sorry if that was not clear.

Well, the stretch would help lower the ET because it allows a harder launch.

Since I have no use for drag bikes, in which category I include lowered and stretched bikes, I don't put any stock in ETs or top speeds on modified bikes.

We know from Slow and others you can modify a pre-2012 ZX14 and go faster than 8.55. Its just a matter of how much money do you throw at it.

Even without modding your current bike beyond a full system there is some value in drag racers numbers. The mph average and et obtainable from short that is stock wheelbase bikes is an indicator of horsepower and torque vs weight that can be extracted from a particular bike. Of course it's somewhat obvious 1441cc high perf bike of the 14s weight is going to be twist and rocket from any speed. The liters well you can like I always say only slice and dice 1000cc only so many ways 195 hp ar 14k rpms aint gonna have any low end torque.
