anybody running around on the street on the lowest setting of a 3 hole link like roaring toyz? i know ive seen some really low 14's locally before but seems like the general consenus on the forums is the lowest setting is to low? really like a low bike personally. not big with twisties so thats not a issue. got the link and short kickstand coming so just trying to get a idea.

I had mine on the 3rd link for a few miles. I'm only abot 180lbs in full gear. With a passenger forget about it. It is to low for the street you will bottom out. You can use the fully adjustable links to get a little lower with out bottoming out. But to use the 3rd hole you'll need stiffer fork and rear shock springs. Even using 2nd hole with a passenger will ocasionally bottom out at speed over large bumps. I also raised the front fork tubes up 2 inches. I probally need to raise it back up 1/2 inch.

This one is raised back up to second hole. Once you sit on bike it will drop maybe 1/2 - 1 inch just from your weight, even with suspension adjusted correctly

yeah thats what it seems 2nd hole is max for street. im gonna measure it and see the diff from it and my z1k cause its as low as possible and i never had a issue but it may be a taller bike. your front fork tubes you raised 2"? been wandering that also. most seem to say 1" is max. any other pics from the side on 2nd hole so i can see your front also?

Yeah 1" to 1.5" is probally max..but im a light weight so I get away with it. 2" is probably all you can also go in the rear. But you'll have to get the fully adjustable links to acieve that or make a custom set of links. The standard lowering links are stock, 1.5" and 2.5" bottom hole. The thing is on kawis the oil pan and headers hang down lower than most bikes, and the tails sits up higher because of the way the rear shock is set up. So it doesn't look as low as it really is. When you sit on it tail woll squat lower over the tire.

As you can see from photo center of bike is evenly low all the way across. Think I measured it to be about 2"-3" inches of clearance. But the tail sits up high until I sit on it.

hey Blkcasper, out of curiosity but have you ran those links in the highest setting? Any issues with turn-in?

Haven't used the top location. Just bottom and middle holes. Top hole is the same height as having stock links on.
I've got almost 20k miles on the bike. About 8k stock. Lowered front/rear stock lenth did another 5k-6k, then stretched about 8" and put on rest of the miles. I had to redo suspension setting each time. After that no issues others than dragging pipes and oil pain on real aggressive cornering. it hanbles great. A bit more work in the tight twistys cornering when riden aggressively..getting your suspension set up correctly is the key

Streatced about 9"-10" ...

WOW ZX14Beast that bike is really gonna be a monster with a turbo...You'll definately wanna stretch her to have any hope of keeping the front wheel on the ground once that turbo kicks in. How much boost you gonna be running?...I can still easily pull the front wheel up on mine the way she sits now..

That's the only thing that makes me hesitant to do the stretch Blk.
I enjoy pulling the wheelie's and if I go too long I'll just spin and not be able to loft it up.
I'm doing 4lbs of boost to start, and depending on how Roman's bike works on the 6, then I'll change the wastegate spring and up mine too.
4lbs should be good for about 250ish at the rear wheel.
Should be getting it back end of next week hopefully - Can hardly wait....
I was looking at roaring toyz arm, but some have been steering me away from it, so not sure which I'll end up with.

Beast you can get a swing arm thats adjustable from stock to 6" out. That way you can play with it and still be able to wheelie and get traction. ROfl with that much power it will wheelie spin anywhere at will. The stretch will only slow down the wheelie and let you get better traction

I say keep it stock wheelbase beast. I have a good friend with a stock wheelbase turbo Busa that is an unholy terror on the strip. Makes all the long bikes scratch their heads ha ha.

Thanks Casper still gotta do some work for the wow factor of the green you got thoo.!
Mav I am definetly and advocate of stock wheel base as I see it all being clutch control!!

ok, so been playing with mine all weekend. raised the fork tubes 1" and right now have the roaring toyz link on the bottom hole. i measured it compared to my Z and they are both very close in ground clearence, ( have my z slammed ) ruffly 3.5-4" off the bike. 3" on it. had my z 2yrs and never had a bottoming out issue so.. i just love the lowered feel and look. ill give it a try for a bit going easy and see how it does and if it seems to low ill go to the middle hole.
