I have lost the power wheelie in 2nd gear. Use to go WOT around 4k and would be pulling the front by 6k to 7k now nothing. Any ideas

The has 1800 mi. The rear tier is starting to flatten out a little bit come up in first noproblem. I don't think the clutch is slipping think being the main word there. TC is off. Chain is lubed up. The motor seems to run fine. Breaks are not dragging. I'm lost here man.

To check for clutch slippage choose a private road or airstrip get in 4th or 5th around 7-7500 rpm where max torque is and accelerate hard. This is where the clutch is under real pressure, more so than trying to lift the front in 2nd and any slippage should be more obvious. If the rear tyre has gone off I would expect it to lift the front easier in 1st than 2nd. JMO

Check compression with only 1800mi. Could plugs be bad already. And throttle body out of sync. If any of these is the problem it's going back to the dealer.

My bike will power wheelie in second even with the swing-arms extended 4.75 inches and lowered 1.25 inches. Of course for traction I use the very sticky Shinko Hookup drag radial on the rear.

1,800 miles is probably the best time to check your compression and make sure you write these numbers down (front of your service manual is a good spot). Even if the numbers look good, now you have a point of reference for future compression tests. If there's a big difference between cylinders you may have uncovered a major issue while the bike is still under warranty. Worst case you spent an hour of your day and recorded some great info.

Hub, you are right I didn't stay under 4k but I also didn't beat the s#it out of it. Your advice is well heard and I will check compression. I will be looking at everything very closely tomorrow. Here is a pic of my tire.

Well my power is back. Took it out and tried some the things you all recommend. My clutch wasn't slipping but what I found out with some help of Cblast is that my plugs were fouled out from me riding back and forth to work. I have been riding to work as much as possible witch is 25mi one way and it is highway that is cop central. Needless to say I putt the hole way 60mph. Got out to day and rode it hard and it came back to life 2nd gear wheeling back in session and the lovely 3rd gear lift. That's for the help guys.
