Rook I think comparing old to new will be like comparing a 2018 Camaro to a 1973 ,

I don't know. My '76 kz900 wallowed in curves above 80mph no matter what i tried. Traded for '84 ninja 900 and the difference was amazing.

Been going back and forth between the 14 and the 9, the 9 is a get into trouble bike so light and nimble makes me act like I’m 20 years old again, it handles well, was a bit of a pain settin up sag on the rear shock(horizontal back link suspension)it likes to do wheelies, plenty of bottom end and midrange. Attracts a lot of questions, usually just after you get your gear on, few weeks ago I let a group of gixers and Ducati’s pass me on a nice little windy road, followed them for a bit, then picked them off one by one,so far my only complaints are no wind protection so 90 plus mph is bit to much buffeting and I whish it had a remote preload adjustment on the rear shock so I could make quick adjustments for when the wife wants to go for a ride. If you get a chance take one out for a test ride,it’s time machine you can go from 65 to 20 years old in minutes
