Thanks.

They should come with either a toggle or rocker switch which does have a high & low setting. You can check them out here http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CST&Product_Code=16025&Category_Code=cgid

I bought a set of 'pads' to put under my grips, but after mocking things up on my half finished LSL kit I don't see how you can nicely use them on the ZX-14. The grip on the throttle side is just way too close to the casing to run the wires out nicely, you would have to butcher the ridges on the tube and move the throttle and move the bar end and the finished product would be... gross.
I have had Hot-Grips on every other bike I have owned, they aren't perfect and they certainly are ugly (come on guys, update that 30 year old design) but they do work. Of course they are still shipping them with a 3 lb. ceramic block you have to mount somewhere - no thanks.

I'm staring at my "Trackside" heated hand grips right now.... By the time I get around to installing them it will be summer and I won't need them.... Oh well, apparently they work GREAT! There is a high and low setting the I've been told the "high" setting is almost too hot unless it's REALLY cold. They were on sale at cyclegear for $20. Comes with a switch and everything you need.
