Is this an alright substitute if I don't want to remove the flies yet. I have read varying results.
I have a 2008 zx14.

RE: GI Pro w ATRE

No one wants to touch this for ya, BIGGZ?
I have no flies to set the tre off. When I hit that area, the results seem to give you a limited ride. I can shut that tre down at will, feel the seat of the pants difference. I find my own results to be chasing the stock setting.
I'm not taking away from that limp mode being a more digital performance set. I'm just saying that even with the flies out, the better tune comes back in play I stay out of the ATRE, TRE this Bomb or wire that to any size resistor you choose from the Tandy Box.
GI Pro seems like they use their own shift display, if that is the unit we are talking about. ATRE or one of them there boxes, 'can run through the stock dash,' redisplay the numbers on the dash; without the remote box snaked up from the GPS like a GI. That is how I read it, unless I am wrong about the ATRE type using the stock dash window.
Either way you look at it, any wire fixed to that GPS will code the same limp mode(s) built into the ECU for that wire.
