Hello Everyone, I need help picking a full exhaust system. Ive been doing a ton of research but cant decide. I want to the whole package, performance, look, sound (I like it on the louder side but not to the point where my ears will ring for an hours after a ride) This is my dream bike so I don't mind spending the money on a more expensive setup as long as its worth it. The systems Ive been looking at are the following:

1) Akrapovic (full system 4:2:2 dual) $2500.00 also Ivans recommendation
2) brocks ct dual #2300
3) muzzy dual $2200
3) brocks ct single $1700
4) Yoshi r77 4:2:1 $1100
5) two brothers m2 black single $950.00

Again I don't mind spending the extra money as long as its worth it.

Id love some opinions, pictures, videos.

I'm only considering single-sided exhaust. That I've seen duals have no advantage power wise, Akro dyno read outs duals = singles. So the only reason to use them is if you like how they look.

I'm considering Muzzy, TB, Yosh, probably stainless & carbon fiber. It's too bad TiForce isn't making a '12+ pipe, cause that's what I'd get. Still debating 4-2-1 or 4-1, but leaning towards 4-2-1. I really like how the R-77 looks on these bikes...looks awesome!

Brocks has always been the crowd pleaser. Akra equally popular. I think you will like the sound of a Brocks better. CT is not too loud. If there is no power advantage to duals, go with single. Gotta be a little less weight and cheaper and looks more racy. I'd get the CT meg.

The ct Meg is mellow down low but she effin screams up top when you open her up.

I don't want something that can be heard 20 miles away. The lower profile I keep the happier I am.

I'll probably end up going with the R-77.

CT Duals really compliment the bike in looks and performance and in my opinion there is No Better for this motorcyle!

your right snuff, they do compliment the bike well. are you happy with the sound? Do you like having the cblast flash with brocks?

I'm really happy with my CT Single- I wanted to avoid too loud of a pipe and went for the 'QuietKore', and the sound was exactly what I wanted.

I've found you really don't know how loud and exhaust is for at least 5K. You can always re-pack but they just seem to get louder and louder.

Go with the akrapovic 4:2:1 full system, great sound & performance. I did the single sided since a: it makes cleaning the chain easier and b: I liked the look better (reminds me of my zx9)

Things to consider:

There is probably only 1-2 HP difference between all the top pipes.
Quality in all the top pipes is good or they wouldn't stay in business long!
To high of a noise level can attract a lot of unwanted attention from neighbors or someone who carries a gun.
A single-side pipe DOES manke chain maintenence a LOT easier!
Installation of all the pipes is about the same.
Look at the pipes and buy what appeals to YOUR taste. There is probably a picture of just about every pipe made on this forum somewhere, look around and see what you like the best.

Good look with your decision!!!

Brocks CT duals is what I have; love the sound and look

I also love the sounds of the dauls. Mine came with 2 brothers carbon dark series in stalled. I liked tgem but that boom boom drone at highway crusing speeds was annoying. There db1 sound tips fixed that probem. As far as performance the performed as described.

I wanted to clean up rear end as I streched my bike and got a set of brocks alien head slipons. That growl that the make is so sexy. And not overly loud. Plus dropped about 5-10 lbs in weight.
The couple hp the full systems make up top wasn't worth the extra cost to me.
With ecu flash and tuning I was makeing 200hp

The pipes are all so close in performance that I'd go with whatever one looks the best to your eyes and sounds the best to your ears. These days I prefer a quieter sound single side and went with the Akrapovic. These bikes are so powerful that the few horses lost to a quieter pipe makes little difference in real world street riding.... Never been a fan of loud pipes on the street, might as well have a neon sign directing the cops to my location... not that I ride that fast on the street these days...

Single side systems weigh less and are therefore superior. Seems like all of the quickest bikes around are using Brock's systems.

I'm curios. What makes aftermarket headers better than stock? The CC'S are in the cans right? Are the aftermarket pipes larger in diameter?

The stock headers are quite good, even have crossover pipes. If you're going to keep duals, you might just consider slip-ons. It'll drop a lot of weight just doing that. The stock headers are overbuilt though, so aftermarket headers will weigh a little less, maybe a tad increase in power. That's the only advantage really.

Incorrect. Sorry, but the stock headers DO NOT HAVE FUNCTIONING CROSSOVER TUBES. Look at the underside of the 'crossover'. They have HOLES in them. They are structural only.

Since Nels and I started working together, I am willing to bet we have tuned over 1000 motorcycles through the 2wheelDynoworks shop. I have dated and time stamped dyno sheets to prove it. That's a lot of bikes. Through that learning curve, here is what I would recommend. If I had to do it again, price being a consideration, I would call Smokin and purchase:
1. Alien head 2
2. Or call muzzy for an M-10
3. Or take it in the shorts for the price of a CT-Meg single.

I had the dual brock ct.. Sound was perfect but a lil to quite...

Bike was in accident so I now have a muzzy m10 awaiting to install once I get bike back.. Reason I did this switch is that I have OZ PIEGA wheels coming also so I want the back wheel to be visible as possible.. What also helped in that decision was $$$ I could get both exhaust and wheels by going muzzy if I went with brocks no can do!!
Plus theres like billions of Brocks exhaust out there so being different is a plus for me...

Exactly my thoughts too black. I run the muzzy because it provides excellent quality power with a great powerband and sounds fantastic. I love my muzzy! And the price ain't too bad!

Must be my juvenile side still coming out but I personally love a deep, loud thunderous set of pipes

Actually not all pipes are equal on the 14R....you need bigger header piping (2 1/4") to make full power, with that size diameter outlet baffle. The Brocks Alien Head 2 has this, so do the CT series.....And the new Muzzy M10 I believe has a stepped header as well...

some other systems with 2" piping will make more HP than stock, but not as much as the larger diameter stepped systems, down from them by as much as 7whp, Brock tested this, why the companies that use the 2" piping that worked well on the 14 does not unlock the full power of the 14R larger motor.
