Stoner is going to be ahead and Lorenzo will challenge him, Spies will come and ruin it for both from time to time. I see Cal consistently in the top 5 but don't quote me...
Top 5 for this season?

Stoner is still young and in his prime. Rossi is old and burned out. Stoner could jump back on the duc and send it up front. It would be interesting for both to swap bikes and find out that change of era that is about to happen. Youth vs. Wisdom.
Wisdom, wisdom heads for world superbike and retires on an aprilia. It's traditional, or should be. Max is in his 40's, Rossi in his 30's. I'm ready to watch Rossi on a wsb. It's hard to stop racing. Biaggi is a good example.

Seems its been that way in GP racing since way before MotoGP became the name of it.
I remember Wayne Rainey's run of victories, and saw several of them, with John Kocinski nipping at his rear tire. Poor John, he was faster than greased lightning but he tended to throw bikes away a bit too much.
I don't think Wayne did much after his GP glory days, but Kocinski did darned good in WSB and AMA and word is he still runs a race or two for fun.
Stoner... man Stoner is smooth, and fast like Rainey was. Let him pass you into first and you may lose sight of him for the rest of the race.

Worse thing Stony could have done was get married, have a kid. That is going to stick in the back of his mind and look at the rain ride. He was sandbagging. You don't sit back in the rain. After Rossi, I'm looking for the next big thing.
With the factories out, this is more a riders race. A little backdoor parts along the way for (choice) satellite teams, politically speaking that is. Spies looks good. My pick for the year is up there.

Plus with the change to 1,000 cc bikes and the claiming rule, it will change again in 2012 as the season progresses and we see the effect.
I made fun of John Kocinski, but his excellant success in WSB indicates something I've wondered about for a long time. The 500cc 2-stroke GP bikes were notoriously tweakied, and the only way to win was to burn rubber off the rear tire sliding it through corners.
Things are worlds different now. I think John Kocinski on a modern 1,000cc MotoGP bike would be a force to contend with, and might well have won the championship several years running, rivaling Rainey.
Too bad it didn't work out that way.

Hub lol, I was thinking the same thing, wify and kid... I dunno, people (Colin E.) says it doesn't affect you, I beg to disagree. It's simple, the survival instinct is to survive and reproduce, once you do that killer instinct is dead and the new alpha male X you out. lol I think Stony still have 2 years though lol
I think John Kocinski on a modern 1,000cc MotoGP bike would be a force to contend with, and might well have won the championship several years running, rivaling Rainey.

Number 6 is a good spot for Rossi! He can focus on Cal. It's going to be great if they maintain that ranking. Cal is hungry, Rossi is an old wolf maybe they can inspire each other! You know Dan P is going to slip at times and although Spies is strong, he is still kinda green. Beat Cal, capitalize on Spies and Dan mistakes and there you are on the podium Mr. Rossi!
I'm not surprised by the JL times. The guy was ecstatic about the progress they made on the Yam. I counted him out at the end of last season. Glad he proved me wrong... That's how you come back from a crash! On a different note, as Spies progress, I have feeling they'll be some tension at Yam.

rossi to F1 , could be a career change he needs , would be getting a bit stale after all these years but would generate a lot of interest.
Very little has been said about Cal, that's a great effort to come in 5th, dovi will get better had the flew for the test this week end.
Injuries, and did not finish, will be the name of the game, if lots of people share the podiums and top 5 it will hard to get any lost points back.
Bautista, may get better, people are starting to say maybe the Suzuki was a better thing than everyone thought.

It looks cast-in to me? No way a few zips are going to keep those weights in place at 190 mph plus. Here are a few things that were going on in my little world. I had to bring something to someone. We started a conversation...
... Come to find out, he has heard about the rr'shitty black box. Guys were racing them, the rr'skid kicks on. The back wheel will literally chunk in a circle as you keep the -skid in mode. A full 360 hit-on-hit-on-stop-turn-stop-turn-go-chunk-go-chunk, and then adds more and says how if it does mode up, it is all fucked up. Not that I could pin down what it was computer wise? Remember, this is more second hand, but this guy is in the know.
He was just saying that some racers were bailing on them about the electrics. So, besides it not handling, it's a box'ear! Get it???

Yeh I get it, its a BMW.
Just look like stick on wheel weights with a cable tie, not a good look for the company that thinks its the best manufacture of everything.
Ride with a guy who has bought a 1000rr, not very old and already has a full top end rebuild, cams ate the head, warranty job
mate has a k1300 with major oil consumption issues, more than 600mls/1000k, oil light keeps coming on, they do 10,000k service intervals, will need to strap a 6L bottle of oil to his ass. the bike is new and under warranty but beamer say if and when it get to 1L/1000k they will look at it.
both have been back for all kinds of electrical issues, including the little black box

Not good. Followed one a couple of weeks ago I was impressed. Their cars are really nice to drive but are needy when it comes to maintenance-could be the same with the bike! They must be throwing lots of money at the mag (at least Euro Mags)... Fast Bikes proclaims the 1000RR king of the liter again this year, well ahead the zx-10R and the fireblade!!!

dragking in a local bike mag here they say that the BMW 1000rr is finished , there going to stop making them at the end of 2012 no more.
a little to much performance for the quality.
another concord project, doesn't mater how good it looks or great it flys ,you got to have the quality and a business plan that works or its finished.
Sorry information incorect about 1000rr my bad
