Oh come on guys! You Canadian Mounties or Montana Malmutes, I can understand; but CT and VA? How cold is it there?
Mid thirties out there this afternoon (gift from Canada) and I had a nice invigorating ride of over 80 miles just to return a $7.00 item to the mall.....in the next state! hehehhehhehhe!
Surprised a couple of lines of traffic in the afternoon "rush" with well into triple digit passes. They tend to gawk at you this time of year it seems.
Got back just before dark and didn't want to quit but a fella's got to eat.
Now, this weekend its snow and ice and highs that are below freezing! Next week doesn't promise much either, so I may just have to prep the long winter's sleep for the beast. Might be some 30-somethings at the end of next week but not sure.
I'm always up for some 30-somethings....

I usually do 30 somethings but I sold my heavy weather gear and I already started maintenance and cleaning. I like the blank stares I get in those temps on a sportbike form the Harley guys, lol. I can hang Paul maybe nest year we can get it in and get some crazy 3 digit looks I like!

I folded the cards today, boyz.
Woke up, got the wx report, looked at the garage, looked at the "dirty" bike and decided the writing was on the wall.
Starting Sat. the temps are gonna average 20 degrees lower than seasonal averages for our area for the last week of Nov. Yes, that's below freezing by a good margin. I just don't ride when icing is possible around here anymore and anyway, the authorities will get the salt out in buckets as soon as there is any black ice.
So spent most of day cleaning garage, cleaning and polishing bike, cleaning and lubing the driveline and generally prepping for storage.
Will get short ride in tomorrow and change oil and filter, fill tank with premium and stabil, put bike on stand and seal exhaust, put battery tender on bike and cover the whole assembly. I like to think of it as the shrine in the garage.
But...........will pull the ecu first to send it for a new program flash for next season. 14-15 thousand mile major service is first on list for March 1, when the bike initially breaks cover and ventures out of the "cave". Will warn the shop to beware the new flash when they test ride it, heh, heh!
Then all should be good to let her rip once again!
Can't wait for spring's........

So listen (or read) this, the Kawi shop calls me tell me what's going on with the slave cylinder leaking clutch fluid. He took it apart and found a 1/2" piece of metal inside the cylinder. Every time I used the clutch, it slowly destroyed the seal inside causing the leak. Kinda explains why it felt a bit rough shifting sometimes. Like it didn't hold pressure. So Kawi is going to warranty the part(s). Having a set of pirelli angel gt's installed while they have it there too. Went with a 55 profile on the rear.

Morning Nation !! Stocking stuffer chain breaker, $19.99. I usually don't like cycle gears house brand tools, but a buddy of mine used one, and said it worked just fine, it's supposedly $79 when not one sale, but usually it really around $50 ....
Just posting in case someone needs one

Buenos noches! Livin' the good life here in the great midwest........at least for now!
Happy Thanksgiving and Hanukkah to all as 2013 season ends for most of us in Norte America.
