Rook, that 1199 might just look better in person, two dimensional media does not favor a 3D object in most cases, especially something with the complicated lines of a modern sportbike. Styling a sports car might be easier me thinks.

Its small still has the rattle even with the new clutch and I’m sure the vibrations will kill your hands/balls/A$$ because of the huge twin and everything bolted to it I think it will make an amazing track bike but that’s about it and I don’t see how anyone that’s not a pro rider shelling out the $22,000 or whatever it is for a bike that will say hay look at me I’m a rich pompous douche! Didn't anyone read the article. This is a homologation bike, so they can race it. Being Ducati, they don't make it more comfortable, they just leave the exotic bits off it.

And everyone they make for public sale, will be sold as soon as it leaves the factory.

The CBR 1000RR is pretty small, here's me at 6'3, 225 lbs perched on my '07. This should give you an idea, as I know you have at least two inches and a couple pounds on me. We're big, no disguising that fact but I feel great on all the bikes including the 6R.

I think you'd like a Honda, they seem to handle the BMW S1000RR on everything but the longest tracks even though down about 25HP. Everything they have is useable, i.e. solid midrange while the Beemer is still playing catch up. My '07 runs right with my '11 ZX-10R and blows it away on low speed corner exits with it's tight gearing and great low end drive.

Forget the Panigale, I've heard enough already, the new S1000RR stirs my blood and about 7 grand less.

Was very cool!... Plus Hub has some very sweet canyons to carve on his "home track"... Can't thank him enough for spending a couple days playing Marshal for my Buddy and I.

Remember when we 'wolf-packed' that group of cars before our exit to swap bikes? The cop told me I was 'frightening the drivers' riding like that. I said, yeah, but I was smooth thru there, wasn't I; folding the speeding ticket in my wallet. All I heard his retort was, "Fast," I [so] dotted his ass. Then, he wrung out that bmw pile they have to ride, heading back up the ramp. Kind of inspired him a little. Besides, heavy traffic was flowing above 75mph in a 65. I was way above that; kinked over thru that S section of the city. Love those approximates!

Don't kid yourself, we were lucky those two days!
