Oroad,

What year is your bike? 2012-2013 has the 3-intervenings when throttle is aggressively applied:
1.(((Sub-Rattle))) = Sounds like knock
2. Ign curve
3. Fuel pump cut

If 2011 and down, then back to low rpm, high vacuum at the IAP when the TPS opens past intervention or high vac pull. My guess is either or. If you have a late model, then sub-rattle I've been hearing before I locked the subs open. Now I hear zip.

A racer's input means everything when you're talking about racing. But it should be taken with a grain of salt when it comes to applying the advice to street riding. Can you run slicks on the street? Sure, as long as you don't hit a puddle while cranked over or encounter some gravel in the middle of a turn. That's one simple example, but there are many cases where race technology doesn't translate well to street riding. Do you eve race two-up or loaded with luggage? I think not, unless you'e that crazy bastard Randy Mamola doing laps on the biposto Desmosedici, scaring the shit out of passengers. There are many more.

I see what your saying, but I never modify my bike beyond calling it anything but a street bike. I trust the tires I'm using now in the rain at an aggressive lean. It's literally lowered with an exhaust system. It just runs race bike numbers. :)

I know a dude who runs an LSR ZX-14; 1550 big-bore, hogged out throttle bodies etc.-he has hit 219 at Maxton and guess with what for fuel? Believe it or not, he claims to get best power from E-85. Of course, he's set the tb's up to run it, and it drinks fuel like a fish on a run, but I would NEVER put that stuff in a streetbike.

Our bikes are capable of running E-85 as is. Just needs a tune.
