I'm doing it now and so far so good. 600 miles, no dramatic change from 0 miles that I can tell but nothing busted either. Good for my peace of mind. Hope it's still running good at 30,000.

Rook you do know both your bikes were run right to the rev limiter on a dyno before they left the manufaturing plant right? Next time you are at a dealership ask them about the certficate of orgin the amount of HP the bike made is printed on the certificate. After a a few hours running around and getting use to the bike its rev limiter time.LOL

Yeah I knew about the factory redline thing. I didn't know about the certificate of origin though. I can't believe that has not been discussed more often because I'm sure a lot of us want to see evidence that the bike was higher rather than lower. Of course, a low reading might have been a hot, humid day in Tokyo when they tested all the bikes made right after the mechanically perfect Ricky Gadson bikes went through the line. .
