That's not a hard question, that's a stupid question.

You've answered my penultimate question without me asking.

Either that or their R&D showed evidence of accelerated engine damage/wear from using higher power ECU parameters.

We over-engineer our parts so any HP gain is unaffected. Our insert bearings have yet to change since the british, or when honda came out with the CB750 and they are still running today with worn out insert bearings and crank throws.

We cannot control 'detonation' as this is when peak compression meets peak bang. This is when the hammer pounds out the insert with such force, some rods can bend into a C or curve of said rod. So as long as the oil is clean, no det occurs, this bike should last longer than the CB series bikes just by the advanced metallurgy to the rings, aluminum insert properties that may have evolved too with the nikasil cylinder wall finish.

In light of that, I wouldn't be serving myself, or you the forum member, if I didn't ask the hard questions.

Every place but the 9.0 ET did Mav go slower. I am not picking sides in any way. I am trying to study a word called 'formula' and if the bike is in a 'preset.' So as long as the valve cover stays on like the way Brock can show HP gain, the bike is rated at a certain torque value and that is 120tq.

So as I see the dyno numbers, the time slips, the this map, the that pipe, the this flash, every move made seems like, yes, you found peak torque (+/-) 1 pound. Yes, you either run 9.0 @ 154 mph Mav, or Kent at CWorld went 9.2 @ 155 mph. I'd have to find "The Hand" and his time slips to see his ET/MPH, who's camp flash he's using, and no matter how you got there, you ran up to the preset i.e., [120tq~+/-].

Cblast = ET
CWorld = MPH

That's if we brought no other numbers but Mav's latest and his fuel used, and Kent's attempt for the 8's and his fuel of the day. WATT am I missing?

Lol.. I'm bored so I'll jump into the fray. This is my opinion and Lets face facts..the 2102 zx14 with just bolt on mods with either a flash, pc5, slipons or full system , is only good for 200hp/120trq estimate. Some have got more some have got less. How you get there and how hard the midrange is modified is really what makes the difference. We all know she is nurtured in the lower 4 gears has a saftey mode and held back on top. You get rid of those limitations and you have a beast on your hands.

In my opinion, the motor is neutered more for EPA regs than any other reason. Oh, and as is always said, there's no such thing as a stupid question. oh wait, here's one....How many blasted "cblasted" threads do you guys have to start?

"If you really want to destroy a zx14 motor and do it right quick, then please add a turbo kit now!!!"

I'm not adding a fuckin turbo.

Could not agree more for two reasons: 1) terrible lean conditions resulting in ring land smashing/big end bearing flattening detonation, 2) a 75% increase in power generation with which a stock reciprocating system must bear.

Proper AFRs mostly favor combustion chambers, piston crowns/rings, cylinders, and valves.

There is a dearth of discussion and finding of fact, on this forum, the result of power output increases on reciprocating bearing elements.

I invite the pursuit of that discussion for the enrichment of the forum membership.

Ouch lol ,,pretty dame hard on us Turbo Guys.

And yes, I one hundred percent Agree. But, and it's a big but,,,,,, If You Personally Have Not Saddled Up On The Seat Of A Finally Tuned Turbo ZX 14 ,,,,Well you just haven't.......

Nothing U can imagine can compare. We Boosted guys are enjoying more power and torque at 5500 RPM than a fully Flashed 14R(194hp SAE Smoothing 5, on the honest man scale). And the best part is we get to enjoy that pull from 5500 all the way to red line with additional 1/3 more on it's way Rofl. Awesome, just flipping Awesome,,, Your welcome to try mine. Some times I go in the garage and just stare at it,,,Luv at first ride.

Ask yourself if it's worth it, if No I get it, if yes I get it. I have yet to blow one up. Even bought pistons Rods studs springs in case,,,just waiting. This motor is one tough cookie, of that I can assure you. 3 years and first Turbo bike still going strong today.

With this much two wheel Fun on Tap I Don't expect to run her 100,000 with no trouble, but who cares, it's about how much fun we are having "TODAY".

That's why we do this. Only other reason is the adrenalin junkie inside of all of us 14 owners must be fed. Boost definitely has this covered on a Grand Scale.

When this talk of pipes and flashes that provide only 8 to 10 hp gains begins to bore you We have the 120 hp solution that I promise you will Never Ever get old. I know some of you are ready, I can smell it lol

Call me, I will help get you sorted, Promise. Take a quick peek at This Dyno sheet made on beast bike early this week,,,just imagine if you can how much fun this bike is to ride lol Truly Awesome ! If he pulls up along side you Don't bother lol

Pic is small but #'s can be seen.

Man you Boost Kings are SEN SA TIVE!!!
I've told BEAST countless times I will never Turbo my ride.

1) maintenance intervals
2) constant tweeking and tuning
3) when it blows, not if
4) it will wear out the engine way before the naturally aspirated shelf life
4) the 3500-8000 price buys me a new bike

Plus
BOOST - POWER - ROLL ON KING!!!!

But here is the sensitive part of the discussion. I have always encouraged Beast, and you to follow your path. If those charts make you happy and you get an adrenaline rush from the power then go for it. It's not my wallet and in the end I am happy your happy! Go Turbo. It's just not a path I plan to follow. I just bought a used 12r that I've been courting for years. Many would think I'm crazy. key point hereWe love what we love, the true gift in life is having the means, talent and opportunity to realize your dreams\path. What's cool about you guys is you support each other's dreams. The turbo group helps each other. That in my books is cool!

With this stated, I am sure you understand, I or anyone on this forum is NOT being hard on you, we just have different dreams. So a persuasive dialogue about the pros or cons of boost is a fruitless endeavor as we are all here to follow our own paths. (sermon over - add organ music here).

However proclaiming one path is better or being smug about one's path is the truest form of arrogance and that my friend is divisive and I have no patience for it. No one does. (now add organ music - last time). I want to make clear I do not feel you are being arrogant.

Realistically rolling battles and roll on battles is the only place you folks will use your boost. Quarter mile eventually if you refine your skills and work hard. In the curves and twists - bye bye. Street Dog Fighting Bye Bye...

Every member on here has the right to pursue their path and share what they love. With this in mind we all support the Turbo group. But as the lone wolf, I set my own path and unfortunately it means I never follow the pac!

Ps beasts chart looks great! What's up with the AF line from 2 up to 5grand??? Now I understand a Turbo does not have to be streetable smooth but that AF line needs a tune. Romes get busy!

Blk. Show me a rider that can put down 200hp and ride to the limit, and I would prefer that ride to the most sophisticated turbo set up. That is a cat that can ride.

Romes the elephant in the room for me has always been the competitive nature of hp pursuit and gains. This competitiveness has driven dollars from my wallet. I took a long look at why I want to chisel my ride and I realized keeping up to someone else distracts from the primary objective. And that's to ride and continue to develop as a rider. Be the best on a 14r. Not suggesting you ale from the same illness, but as soon as I stopped engine measuring the happier I became.

Riding motorycles?

Will do!

You can go back to filling your garage with bikes you will never ride. That seems to be something you are good at.

Yes by posting pictures of a pre pubescent overgrown harry oath on an 80CC bike that is exactly what I meant. You are good at riding motorcycles.

I'm going to go wax my fleet now.

See you around Fazer!
