He's talking about the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
I've never heard that. Probably just a myth. Feel free to try it and report back your findings.

You know what? That air is coming in so fast, I doubt it has time to warm up to make a difference. If it does, it might be very slight being out of that environment. I'm not going to say no without testing my decent 15:1 AFR to see a swing of a sample change. Besides, when I had to lift, that bike was gargling 16.5 AFR, then spike to 17. When I really nailed it, the lift swung to 13:1.
The 2 water bars did not move all that time I was watching and listening. What you'll do is run a tad rich if the value changes. The cooler air says more condensed. So the gas trim richens up... In theory.

I can't believe I'm at a bike week and posting on a web forum.
But.... the wet t-shirt and female tat contest isn't until 3pm so wtf do I care.
Might just go for a ride once the sun comes out and reassures me it won't t-storm.
Oh and this laptop sucks. Got it refurbed from Newegg.com and I guess I got what I paid for. If my CT-Duals had been cheap they wouldn't produce the best HP gains of all the aftermarket ZX14 exhausts. Oh well, I can put up with the f-king laptop.

Granted, there has to be two temps in and out of the bike. So that response time is just that. Want me to try it? I'll drop it in some ice water with a plastic back around it. Ride around all rich until the water warms up.

For your entertainment and mine. I know the bike is a constant 15.1:1 AFR while cruising. This is first test so the unit does not vibrate apart. There is only one direction that needle should take and with the sun cooking that baby, who knows?
There is always some sort of air passing when riding or idling. With the bike stopped, the sun cooking that can, who knows which way that needle will point?
