Opinions Please, Rims

Was thinking the Green 14R has Allot of Bling. This is something I'm Not Normally into. I Prefer stealth Look, Black, uncover, You know, don't bust me themes. But in this case there is no denying or hiding the pop this color has. So with that being said I decided not to fight it and imbrace the pop and add to it, thinking clean look might be Nice.

Currently this bike is all Stock with exception of a flashed ECU.

Now,,,,,, I'm second guessing myself. Do you guys think Polished Aluminum Wheels with chrome rear sets works ???? Or is it to much. All opinions welcome. I would hate to build it and hate the look. Help.

Pic below shows some gear head installing Ceramic Bearings on Basement Carpet before his wife gets home lol. WD-40 has a very unique smell. Blamed it on the dog lol

What's up Romans? Frankly I don't like when sport bikes have too many colors. I think that you have done a superb job with 14 number 1 and 2. Looks like the 14R is going to be your last child for a while so you should spoil her with some BST'S. Darryle's look awesome in my opinion. When I ride back roads, they get dusty and nobody seem to notice them but when cleaned up they look awesome in both the shade and sun.
I'm not a big fan of polished/chrome wheels on sport bikes that aren't silver, it makes them look slower in my opinion (think Harleys). If you really wanna embrace the bling, you could build a R Gadson replica with Gold Forged Carro or March (not sure which brand he has). It would be fitting since you're planning to Turbo the bike.

In short for a green 14R, I would go with Gold, black or CF rims and definitely black rearsets.

Blinged out but not tacky!

I think that however you decide to do it it shall be flawless! Because of your attention to detail. Personally I like the look of that green bike with blacked out wheels and rear sets, but, I bought the black one so don't listen to me! Embrace the bling! :)))

It's time you go for a little ride in the states. Have Brock send them to the closest dealership. Cross the border with the bike. Have the wheels installed and ride back. You can come back for the OEM later!

Dude! That looks frickin sic! With gold chain, Schweet! :))

Cblast I'm trying to keep a open mind in guessing what End Product will be. If you would have told me Gold rims on a green bike would look good I would have said ok, but thought, "Not For Me". Now look at Rickey's bike above,,, stickered up too, which I also would have said No Way, but now,,,, that bike looks bad ass, And what's really important the world knows it can back it up. So to picture the bike built, This I Can't do.

It's time you go for a little ride in the states. Have Brock send them to the closest dealership. Cross the border with the bike. Have the wheels installed and ride back. You can come back for the OEM later!

Believe me I gave that some thought. Rims would be just the Tip of the ice burg.

What's the source, Harry?

Oddly enough Harry and I have never had any business dealings. Mostly I'm sure due to the fact I never know what he has lol.

The wheels above are the Polished Galespeed type R. Very impressed with their design. Cush Drive set up is very unique in the weight savings side of things. I've never seen anything like it. They use the bolts for the cush drive to drive the wheel. The wheel bearings for the rear wheel are the much bigger 6006 and takes 3 of them. This was a WOW from a mechanics point of view. Front also takes two 6006. Compared to our 6205s was very nice see, but hard very hard on the wallet to upgrade. The Japanese sure make a high Quality product that's for sure.

Are they worth the money ?????? Time will tell all

Hiya Romes...well...I like the Dymags...BUT...after looking on the website...I noticed a distinct 'line' of the weave(on the rear wheel)which I would be concerned about.I mean...no doubt they're safe and all...but that fabrication line...IDK...just doesn't look 'right'....you don't see any of that on the BST's...(do you?).They are cheaper however...which may or may not be a good thing?I think I'd have to go with BST's OR the forged mag/aluminum wheels....the polished ones above look very good...too many spokes for my tastes...but very nice anyway.Ricky's look really good...but then...they're on a bike that as you say..can "back it up"...so they fit fine.I wouldn't go with gold on a green bike...but....his look good. The Black 14R with the chromed wheels...yes...they go well together.CF would be excellent also.

Sounds like they have a lot of very interesting technical innovations. The spokes got me right away. They look very light. I'd go with them but find a place to anodize them gold some day. CZ will tell the anodizer they outsource their wheels to. I plan to reanodize mine some day so I will be asking. Will share the info with you if you want.

I would start planning the rest of the bike in gold and black. I avoided gold on mine because I though tit looked to fancy. Now I wish I had gold rearsets and chain adjusters. Fancy is more or less what my bike needs now. Plain looks out of place on it.

Yes please do. Gold spokes would be different.

ones above look very good...too many spokes for my tastes...but very nice

Grn they also have a Type-S which has 15 spokes which was the way I was going to be different Click

Bad ass romans I think it incorporates the gold thats sweet with a little bit of black to keep the theme but just the right amount of shine.....I LIKE IT!!

Sweet. this is what I was hoping for. If all were on the YUK side then I'm sure I would have agreed as I just can't see finial product in my head.

Rome ,do you want to try my bike

Noooooo!!!!!! lol. I'm no stranger to what light weight wheels have to offer. But in the case of the BST's I can't tell you exactly what($4,467.28 + 13% tax and then shipping)dollars missing from my wallet would feel like and it Equals a major OUCH.

If you had to minus the weight difference from the Forged Aluminium, how many dollars per pound is that ????? and would I (Not Being A Pro Track Racer) feel the difference ?????

Yes I know BST's hold the crown(Zero Debate)but I just Can't, especially when I know for me there are other mods that I could have more fun with.

Now those Galespeed 5 spokes..polished...that'd be sweet.Those I like.

Yes, nice for sure but Not very many rims out there with 15 spokes. Something a little different ?
