I have a full Leo Vince on my 2008 and it is quiet - as long as the silencer is in.

Been waiting for something free flowing and quiet!

My concern though is why isn't there a big bump in horsepower vs the stock cans on their dyno??? (at high rpm)

Someone get these and dyno them!

As much as I hate to say it, as I just don't think they belong on Kaws, get a Yoshi.

B'cuz they are just slip ons... They're for looks, sound, and some weight savings... If you want all that and more top end, you'll have to install a full system.

Just curious, is your comment related to aesthetics? I like the LeoVince on my 2010 zx14. That stated the Yoshi's look more like my LeoVince slip-on than the new LeoVince. Also it looks like the Yoshi carbon slip-ons are $1099 ($850 for SS). My LeoVince were $750 for carbon. Couldn't find the pricing for 2012 LeoVince. I am already shopping for accessories for my red 2013...

Or that... but can't really call it "poor-mans" when the cost between slip-ons and a system is so close, IMO.

Just curious, is your comment related to aesthetics?

No... It's based on word association. When I hear Yoshimura, the next word that comes to my mind is Suzuki... and I do know that Pops has a history with Kaw, but that was a long time ago.

Yoshi's look more like my LeoVince slip-on than the new LeoVince.

I think so too... but keep an eye out for a Leo re-design again soon. We were sponsored by Leo @ Laguna and had an issue with the new pipe dragging on our CBR. Rep said our "R&D" had them going back to the drawing board.

Also it looks like the Yoshi carbon slip-ons are $1099

So is the Yoshi full system.

yeah I know what you mean. I probably lost 25 hp with the LV because I did not use what the rest of the world does BUT it is a Carbon Can!

OK all, speculation is just that, nothing more.
Proof would be nice.

I am considering slip on's only because the factory header is already open, it does not have a cat in it. As well as equalizer tubes between the pipes,,, which means more low end torque.

I already own a full Brock's Street Smart system on my '08. It is supposedly their quietest system. Well, It's still too loud for my tastes now. I prefer something that won't kill my ear drums on a 6 hour ride.

Didn't notice the power graph meant "with DB killers removed", dang! If its that free flowing then I would expect a rather noticeable improvement over the stock, catted, mufflers then. Weird how they show zero improvement in the top end.
Factory cannons are that free flowing???

Edit: Just looked at the Yosh; their R77 system does not meet Euro II sound requirements, it's a racing system that is well over 80db.

On the power diagram pdf it says race mode/configuration, which in my book means db killers out

I contacted Dave at Leo Vince USA, these are not available in the USA yet, maybe sometime in September.
No idea on pricing yet either.

My 2 cents...I absolutely love my full Yoshi, the GP style can is very aesthetically pleasing, laser etched zx-14R is good quality (fits like OEM, quality welds, flawless polished finish), sound is amazing, especially above 6K rpms...and was under $870 on MCsuperstore! Haha, again, just my opinion FWIW.

Thanks! No, the Street Smart system wasn't overly loud. I'm just wanting something that meets E code sound levels with removable Db killer now.
If Brock's noise reduction plug fit either Street smart system I'd get it.
Had an Akra full system on my old Blackbird and yes, it did sound great. I don't remember if it was louder or quieter that the SS system though.
Area P is coming out with slip ons and a full system shortly also, I heard one on a Connie and it sounded great,,, albeit totally different than our exhaust.

Agree. The Yoshi full system is a great looking exhaust that is not wacky expensive.

To me, the Leo Vince pipes look too close to the stock mufflers.

And with the cost of slip ons, as compared to a full system, I can't see buying mere slip ons. Just wait til you can afford the full system. Cause if you get slip ons, you will, more than likely, want a full system not long thereafter.

In my opinion.

But, to each his own.

Holy Shit that's well over $1300 with tax/shipping for a slip on. A full system isn't much more (or the same). Ouch... I Think I'm going with the M4's for $600 and get a PCV and still have a few bucks left over...

I had these Leo Vince Carbon EVO2 Slip-Ons on my 09 that made 170rwhp 101 lbs torque with mods listed below, they are great quality for the money. I just sold them to another member on here, because I just purchased a 4-2-1 Leo Vince full system with a titatuim can to save some wieght & gain a little more power. Im going to have it remap again once I get my autotune in this week.
