Anyone use EZ-Pass on a motorcycle, if so what is your setup?

.
For unlucky people like me, I live in the toll plagued eastern states. I had always paid cash at the toll booth, and up until now I always refused to get on board with EZ-Pass.

Today, I received a Maryland toll invoice, for an unpaid toll from 4 weeks ago. (I stopped at one of the bridge toll booths, paid my toll with cash and proceeded on.) They even sent me a picture of my licence plate.

The amount due is not important, is the fact that I paid cash, and now I am receiving a notice from the E-ZPass Violation Bureau (along with a photo of my license plate) stating that I had not paid the toll. When paying tolls with cash, I never asked for receipts.

Since I am spending the 4th of July long weekend in Maryland and the Washington DC area, attending a Half Mile race, I have decided to get an EZ-Pass transponder tomorrow.

My question is: where do you install your EZ-Pass transponder on your motorcycle?

Can I install the EZPass in a tank bag? Would it work if I use an arm band holder? Can I use the EZ-Pass in my GPS holder?

So, please include a picture of your setup.

I'll assume you'll use it for the car so easy access retrieving. You didn't mention how the unit comes, like its own carrier and how its mounted.

1. For racing/trackday, the transponder holder is zipped to the fork, duct taped to hold position.

2. Hub's meguyveering w/amazing goop glue = Any fucking place I want.
Glue a washer on the unit = Key ring hole.
Glue velcro on the transponder' body.
Glue the other velcro strip to the center of the top crown's key switch assembly canopy.
Transponder w/bike key.

3. Transponder has no holder.
Glue washer/key ring on body so as to clip a tether from bike to transponder.
Glue a toilet chain size length from frame to ring clip to transponder.
Glue a velcro strip on the transponder body and the other strip on the frame.
Transponder unclips from the bike.

4. Seat is removed.
Glue transponder on seat base somewhere that clears the body.
Permanent, hidden, needs no tether.

I ordered the unit yesterday, now I have to wait 7 to 10 days for it to arrive. I am planning to use it on my motorcycle, and I have no idea how the unit comes. Saw a guy wearing an EZ-Pass holder arm band using it on his arm or forearm, I like this idea.

I carry mine in my tankbag, placing it on top of the contents.
It would be fine in a map pocket if your bag has one.
I tried it in a side pocket but it wasn't recognized....no idea why not.
My riding buddy removed his shield and wedged it in the opening in front of the cluster, then re-installed the shield.
You can't reach in and grab it and its safe from the elements.

Thanks Hank! My tankbag does have a map pocket. Thanks for the feedback!

I received the motorcycle EZ-Pass in the mail yesterday, it only took three days to arrive. This weekend I am going to "road test" the EZ-Pass using my old jogging armband on my way to Maryland and Washington DC. Also, first time user of my new Garmin GPS, I'll keep you posted on how both gadgets work.

Last Sunday, on my way to Maryland, I installed the EZ-Pass on top of my tank bag, inside the map holder. It worked flawlessly!!!

I put a piece of velcro above the speedo. My EZ-Pass sits snugly between the speedo and the windscreen. I roll up and through without putting a foot down. Works great when I'm not using a tank bag.

I have mine on the left side/inside of the windscreen using the Velcro strips that were provided with the tag. Have them on my 14 and 14r. Works 95 percent of the time. If it does not read, my account just gets charged when they camera reads my plate and sees I have an EZ Pass account.

Make sure they are charging u the right amount. Cars and bikes are different rates. I have one for each bike and one for my truck.
