Yep, not upper or lowers. Guy held on for dear life. What rake do you think he was in, flying in the air?

Well...not to some I guess.Since no one KNOWS how that 9 got in that condition....Maybe the guy did it on purpose for insurance?Doesn't mean someone got killed or whatever....IF that's what you're talkin about. It's funny to me..having crashed every bike I ever owned except my 12.Comes with the territory I think.I laugh about mine...they were quite knarley.

There is actually a lesson in that pic....DO NOT LOCK YOUR REAR BRAKE.

Blue- going off on a tangent here for a sec. LOL, following a dude on an older concourse a few weeks ago tooling around on the North Shore in Long Island this older dude goes around a turn coming out of an overpass and truck was partially in our lane. What does this stupid mother fucker do??? NAILS THE REAR BRAKE and almost high sides (I honestly do not know how he did not kill himself or wind up under the truck). Needless to say I got next to him at a light and told him he was the dumbest mother fucker I have ever seen riding a motorcycle and to please stay the fuck away from me. NY is such a friendly place sometimes, I love NY.... NOT!
BTW, i keep checking back on this thread to see if anyone is going to buy the 47MM throttle bodies, I would love them but have an aversion to giving morons my money, or people who do not call me back!

2015 30th Anniversary Edition 14R #250-> Brock's CT Ceramic Coated, Ivan's ECU Flash V2 & Map, Block off plates, HM Strain gauge quickshifter, GPR Damper, Spiegler lines, Muzzy's Sliders, Pazzo levers, Rizoma Next Fluid Tanks, DDM Ultra 5500K HID's Low & Hi, DB Windscreen, Cox Radiator guard, gold titanium bolts... too many to list at this point

lol... You know you can order them from Carpenter too, right?

But I'm assuming at this point, you're gonna want a set for your 14r and not your current 14?... Hopefully, they're available soon after the new bikes get into customers' hands. My feeling is that the factory 44's have gotta be restricting gobs of power on the 1441. Wonder if the new fly by wire system and auto idle adjust will cause challenges that delay their development, though... Fingers crossed.

@blue: Yes, I can see how the likely scenario is that he was wanting to cash in on his LIFE insurance. You really saved it by sharing that you've crashed every bike you've owned but one, though. Those who choose to wear ignorance like a badge of honor never cease to amaze me... Best of luck to you and those who share the roads with you.

To the OP: trhttp://www.markmharris.com/Facility.html

He's done 47 mm and larger for people on the bikeland 14 forum. Do a search there and you can find more info about him and his level of exacting workmanship. He makes the attendant throttle plates as well, all to inncredibly close tolerance. (Necessary to avoid the potential problems HUB mentions like idle issues.) All for less than half the price of Comp CNC. You disassemble the TB's yourself before shipment, and upon reassembly, you'll need to slightly extend the knotch in the throttle shaft to fit the blade. The shaft is a soft material and said to be easlily filed.

I've seen reports of + 6 to 8 hp on a stock motor w/the 47's, much more on a big motor. HTH.

Well Prog...Thanks for the good wishes.Ya....'crashing' doesn't always mean...hitting someone.I've never done that.Other people on the road are quite safe with me riding around....quite.I'm probably one of the safest riders out there when it comes to other people.

If you drank alcohol like I did......you'd have a better idea of what I meant by 'crashing every bike I ever owned" That's been a long time ago.Thank God.And I've been VERY blessed since I stopped.Very.

The bigger throttlebody thing...now that sounds intriguing.

Where are the car guys? This is an [part] old for the car guys. No one knows how to tweak this part? I mess with this bike, I wait for weeks just on the two emission parts I need. I'm two days with a K order. If I'm going to mess with the best, I have to wiggle the R. I'm waiting right now to work the idle down. Piss IS me off I look like a euro bike? Or getting close to one.

If it is the mode menu =

YO! I believe you need a handheld to set the idle? What is that handheld they use for cars? I'm telling you, let these bikes sit on the floor or the gov kicks in or we kick everyone out. That idle is ass gone from the tool box as was the ignition and carb. No tuning with jets. Tune with a handheld. And if it does not come with the bike somehow...

Catch22 someone is going to lose all around: Factory-Gov Intervention - YOU holding the shitune! Welcome to wheel hop! Clutch basket let go of my idle = Sha Ding!

Back to business... I'm going to take a 360° walk around that Brutalbike. See the 02 covered over bung ports? No idle cable. D'uh, fly bye wire is that cable idle.

Eyes rest my cases. V-4 me. Bars upright. Brutal back wheel drifter bike give me a drifffffff? How am I going to drifter my chug glue lugga? Can't walk a 1,100 rmp idle wit my bike nect to me. My rear sprocketeef start biting the ground before I put my chain on kind of ratio.

I had to get out and punch the eyesore. I had to merge with traffic. Watt does the ear tuned eye tail yawn tuneup does is due? Sends the front wheel in the air. I'm not saying this is a bad thing. I'm saying this is a low speed, c-hair kind of turns I'm crying about. How many do I enter and begin to burp on about 2 sharp ones on the loop? Yes, I can handle it. No, I DID have an option to, 'run silent, run deep' is all I'mmmmmmm... I can't talk about it. I gotta go get another box of kleenex. BRB.

I can't believe this guy is going on and on! I'm joe average seas the future in a few month on the curve.

1. No low speed stunts with that high idle I'm going to walk next to mine or run down the road after it.
2. No low speed turns like hair pins chugalug.
3. No low speed turn of the idle to save (+ or -) 50 rpms times the life of the bike at idle. You do the math. I coulda had a V-8 sitting at the light waiting. That is 50 rpm times that minute; how many lights are you [NOT] keeping that oil in the ground I don't get the mandates?
4. No low speed screw turns. I am running leaner than when the bike came out of the crate, you cry lean. Have I got enough of a start with the idle cable lists of loss IS?

Where do I start? Oh, here is a loopHOLE!

Blue, no hard feelings. Glad you gave up the alcohol/riding. I lost my best friend many years ago, on the GS1000 I sold him. Not because of the bike, but because he drank when he rode (well, all the time, really), and he took a cavalier view of crashing. Crashing on the street is not like on the track; too many moving and stationary objects to collide with. In his case, it was the curb/his head.

Before retiring, I had to look at far too many bikes like the one you pictured, and there was seldom a happy ending for the rider. Pretty sobering. Ride safe...
