Hey Bears, if a gotcha happens and he's riding like that, he won't be riding again for a very long time, if ever again.

No gear, crash, get hurt really bad.

Good gear, same crash, hurt for a couple months but walk away from it.

If I had been wearing just jeans (much less shorts) when my ZX11 threw me at 60mph in an uphill hairpin, I wouldn't have walked away from it.

If you have ever been in an ER / ICU when they are picking gravel and dirt out of a motorcycle crash victim, and listen to the screams of agony, it will curdle your blood and make tears come to your eyes. No pain killer is administered, it would affect bleeding etc.

Its a lot like a bad burn victim has to endure.

Hell ya privateer! I was geared up on my little 10 mph crash and I still broke my collarbone but because I had gear on, fully armored, no road rash and no picking out gravel!

The dooshbag in front on the 10, looks like he was out there to get bragging rights by scuffing up his knee pucks in that exaggerated ballet of body motion -- on the frigging street mind you. All that movement was totally 100% un-needed. His slow speeds, and today's fantastic tires, just sit your ass and use your legs and arms with some movement off the seat, but nothing like that bloke, my god!
