Hi guys, I bought a stebel horn, as my stock horn stopped working last year. Any ideas on where to install it? I don't really want to disassemble the horn. Would it fit in the battery comparent if I installed a shorai? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Prolly fit fine in the battery compartment with a Shorai BS12. Hell , you culd also fit a 6 pack in there and an ice pack!

But why put a horn INSIDE the bike? That would be more work than placing the Stebel where th eOEM horn is. The wire connector shoe is right where you need it and the Stebel will be positioned in the safest loudest place to have it. Removing the OEM horn is easy. No fairings come off. Just 2 or three bolts and pull the connector. don't cut the wire, believe me, there are contacts that WILL pull out out of the horn.

Thanks rook - the stebel is significantly larger than the stock horn. Under heavy breaking etc I'm pretty sure it would hit the fender. I suppose I'll leave my battery compartment reserved for beer then lol

hehe....ok good call on that one! ...and I think you are right about the Stebel clearance issue. Grn14 had one on his Gen1 and I believe he mentioned it was hitting his fender. I would ask him about it to be sure. send him a PM.
