speed bleeders
04/20/14 7:24 PM

I installed these on my brakes and clutch, one of the best and cheapest upgrades I've made to my bike. It is so easy to change the fluid now, a 10 minute job max. The clutch and brake have never been bleed better, so easy to get every bit of air out - effortlessly. Just install a piece of hose on the bleeder and run it into a container, back the bleeder out a 1/4 turn and pump the lever, there's a check valve inside the bleeder that prevents air from entering the system. My clutch and brakes have never performed better. I bought these from sportbiketrackgear.com .

Sounds nice. Probably a lot cheaper than the regular gold bleed valves I got from ProBolt, too.

Hey, wfozx14, do you know if these will fit the master cylinders and clutch slave as well?

Looks like the ProBolt front caliper bleeders I have are different than the OEM bleeder for the clutch master cylinder. The Pro Bolt front caliper bleeders have a sharper point than the clutch master cylinder and possibly not the same thread.

Good question rook, I have no idea. I have brembos on mine so I can't try one to see. I have a spare speedbleeder, your welcome to it if you want to experiment. If you want it pm me a address and I'll get it to you.

Thanks, wof. First thing I need to do is see if the Pro Bolt bleeders fit the calipers like the lable says they are supposed to. If they do, then it's pretty conclusive that the bleed valve for the clutch MC is a different size.

According to this app chart, all bleeders are the same. They spec the same bleeder for the MC but they don't say if that is for the brake, the cutch or both...and they don't say anything about the slave or the if the front and rear brake are the same. So this I'll just have to take them all out and see if they look the same.

Thanks for the offer of the lone bleeder. I may take you up on that. I'll be ordering some and if they come in sets of 2, I guess I will need a total of 8 if I replace both on the rear caliper (-2 if the ProBolts i already have work).

Seems to me that the nipple is not the exact same size on all the OEM bleeders and I know for certain that the hex is 8mm on some and 10mm on others.

Verified: ProBolt bleed screw for ZX-14 Front brake caliper also fits clutch slave. Same thread, same valve angle. Smaller hex for wrench but that doesn't matter. It's not a speed bleeder though. Ti steel. Weighs .10 oz less than OEM.
