Brock Davidson...The Man, a Class Act!
05/03/12 8:28 AM

My CT Titanium Duals really make my 14R perform like a rocket. Was having some slow speed bucking issues when approaching a traffic light for my stops, and had to clutch earlier than usual and coast up to my stoplight, as the engine seemed so radical in compression, timing, and cam overlap.

Brock researched my issue, tested his road bike, determined the fix, and made me a custom map to resolve the problem in a matter of hours.....

Now that boys and girls is top notch Customer Service!! Brock e mailed me the map, downloaded it in a second and results were immediately recognized.

Instant starting, and now it is very smooth on light approaches, and does not require clutching to prevent bucking, performs like the stock machine right out of the box.

It only costs 10% more to go first class! The man stands behind his products and wants his customers to be happy. He has the experience, equipment, and tenacity to be on the cutting edge of power development, and customer satisfaction.

Thank you Brock Davidson!

Brock made you a custom map because his street map didn't work? He must have sent me your map last month.. There is nothing wrong with Brocks 14r street map!

I never said his map didn't work, I said he improved it......that is what he does...it is called service after the sale. If you have no issues....don't worry yourself about it......just enjoy what you have....it is a NO brainer.

Hmm, I also have the CT Duals with a PC5 from Brock. Street map, flies in. She burbles and almost sounds like 1 or 2 cylinders aren't fueling correctly when I'm on city streets. That's with partial throttle with intermittent coasting. Take it out on the open road and holey smokey GI, I now know what an F15 jockey feels like when he hits the AB's and hauls the stick back on take-off. A long steep grade out by Death Valley showed my R accelerating up the mountain through 160 and I still had lots of throttle and revs left. The music coming from those dualies was PFM. Woof. I guess I'll give a call as well and see if we can't smooth out the low speed fueling. And I too want to point out that I have received nothing but stellar first class treatment from the folks at Brock's.

One4R--Let us know what you think after getting the new street map, (there def is one) and discussed on the private user forum in detail. Again, being a backordered CT Dual and Street Map customer for my 14R I VERY interested to hear your impressions of the new map and the lower speed fueling issue. Also want to add after owning many motorcycles and had motor work, etc etc on all of them, I've never seen the kind of after the sale service and responsiveness you get from Brocks Racing.
thanks

posted May 08, 2012 05:27 PM New Guy, New 14r, could use some ideas....
Hello...

Just found this site, got a new 14r a few weeks ago, and am in the process of maybe doing some upgrades for comfort, and maybe performance too

Got the green bike, like the nice paint they did on mine. Parts people suggested an exhaust system upgrade by Muzzy, or Brock.

The headlights seem a bit low so may try to adjust them, but the pipes look pretty big and maybe I could take some weight off by using an upgraded exhaust.

So, thought I would check maybe with this site and get some ideas on the good, the bad, and costings.

Any ideas would be appreciated...

I think some people don't seem to realize most members here are also members of the other forums.

One thing I don't like about the other forum is that they "label" new members as "parking attendants". Any blabbermouth can join and spend a day posting all over the forum and according to his posting count be considered an "expert". It does not make any sense.

KoflaOlivieri, you are correct, but why have 3 user names on a forum and post like you are 3 different people?

Wheelie, because in the internet anyone can be anonymous and post anything they want. Why create multiple accounts to mislead people? Only those that do know the answer.

you got that right, very easy to tell lies, and be someone you're not, like a 16 year old kid who says his Dad is in Afghanistan, you don't disrespect war veterans in the United States. I guess if you enjoy that kinda stuff so be it

Sooner or later there lack of intelligence shines through.Three seperate user names running on one brain.I always use the same username on every site I'm on.Nothing to hide.

Here's an update on the low speed fueling issues with the street map. Stellar service from BP as usual. Within 48 hours I had not one, but three new maps in my inbox. After I got everything hooked up I decided to load the pump gas track map just for kicks.
Oh my.
This bike is transformed.
I thought she accelerated hard before. Uh-uh.
Effing tomahawk missile.
Plus-get this- I was seeing 41-42 MPG at 75-80 cruise. 50-52 MPG at 65 mph
Phenomenal.

So you loaded the Pump gas track map instead of the Street Map2 that was built to address the low speed bucking issues and improve MPG at 70MPH. I'm assuming that was in place of the original Street Map1. Did the pumpgas map address the issues you mentioned in your earlier post or just bump the power? Seems no one had complained about the overall power the maps were making, just the low end Driveability with the original streetmap.

Uh, yeah. I mispoke. The low speed issues with the original street map went on the back burner once I received the new maps. Instead of loading the new updated street map I decided to plug in the pump track map first just to see what difference there was. I should have really clarified that I actually hadn't loaded the new map just yet. My apologies to anyone I may have offended.
I also wanted to see how bad- or better the high speed cruise fuel consumption fared. Needless to say, I will absolutely be loading the new streetmap to see if it addresses the afore mentioned issues. Because---there are low speed fueling issues with the pump track map as well. And when as far as the old original map, PC finds it when the box goes live, I just selected the new map and "sent" it. Now I just have to talk myself into finding time to load a 'slower' map that delivers less afterburner..the ride continues

Gotcha--after looking at the two maps it's pretty clear where they differ and it makes sense for track vs street. Almost does make you wanna load that Pumpgas map though just to feel the bike with that map. (again after looking at the two side by side). Let us know how you like the streetmap2.
Thanks!
