What is a rear stand? You mean that lifts by attaching to spools or under the swingarm?

You can buy used grab handles from a 93-00 ZX11 D model. You'll have to get the stock rear tail section replacement from Kawi with the cut-outs.Part number 36040-0059.You'll have to get your color though.

You dunt need no grab rail! Step hard on the center stand:
1. Right foot on stand pad.
2. Both hands on bars.
3. Roll back bike with an ommmmph to it.
4. Stand on the pad, but with the timing of literally, pull your left foot up in the air!
5. You better have both stand legs planted center once you stab the ground with the pad.
6. Your stand should be about a half in off the ground or less on the stab. That is one move.
7. Your stand should have the right leg touching the ground, then, by the time you push that pad through the cement floor, your left stand leg will have the bike centered on the stab.
8. Eat your wheat teas. This stab is; we want to literally do a ballet on the stand's pad.
9. YOu'll be all sloppy at it, so have the wife on the right side of the bike to keep it up right. Don' let her touch the bike or help. She is a spotter only if something goes out of balance on your part.
10. If you nail this stand procedure, you can take left hand, literally step on the pad she flies right up on her own.
Note: Set the stand down so the bike is stable, the stand has both legs planted. Now, step on the pad hard and back off of it. Step on it harder, don't lose the momentum. Notice how easy that rocks as you push down on it. You get that trick how easy it is to put the bike on the stand... Ever see that dildo put the mule up on the OEM center stand?

Not sure he means center stand, I asked and he said a rear stand that lifts by attaching to swingarm spools or being placed under the swingarm (mine has both fittings).
To put mine on the rear stand, I get my friend to hold the bike upright by holding the handgrip, then I slide the rear stand in, and lift. Done.
Could do it solo, but there is a scary moment when it rocks vertical. Heh.
As far as the center stand I just pull it up with the handgrip and the sub-frame member.

Take the horseshoe loop or whatever you call it, hook that on the right peg on the swing arm. Take the bungee cord and pull it over the passenger peg so the 'shoe fits' wear it; would where we going withishit? Oh yeah, so there is the right tea tight tee, keep an eye on the ball, fella. You're with the problem, snot eye sea said the blind man.
All of a sudden, the freak'inn stand drags itself around to the other peg... If ya helped it along, wink-wink! Then you keep up-righting it, you no longer rip the seat off, you more hold your hand on the center of the back seat; stable now. We don't want to ask someone to help out with a one man op ear rate thishit.
Well, seat for sale. I rate my seat all bent to shit I was using it for a pull stand and I can't stand it anymore. So, "I rate this trashable... Good luck on your bidding."

To put mine on the rear stand, I get my friend to hold the bike upright by holding the handgrip, then I slide the rear stand in, and lift. Done. That's why he needs to grab something. holding up a big bike like the 14 with hand pressure on the seat is insane. I wouldn't want to do it even if there was a grab rail on mine.
Could do it solo, but there is a scary moment when it rocks vertical. Heh.
The best solo stand for the 14 is the Heindl Pivot stand.
Grabrails.....I like the look of the kind that go behind the passenger foot pegs but your GF won't find those too useful.
Here's a ZX-11 for cheap
OR do it the right and easy way. Buy from the stealership.

I've never had a problem putting mine up on the rear stand - I slide the stand in so it lines up with the spools, then I tip it up a little with one hand, just enough for the stand to catch both spools. I finish the lift by stabilizing the bike with one hand and finishing the lift with the other. It's very easy for me, but I'm a bigger guy with long arms. The bike is NEVER tilted up even close to straight up until it is resting safely in the stand.
