I decided to install a air shifter instead of my HealTech QuickShifter easy. The HealTech kit is uninstalled and I listed it in the for sale section for $285 shipped.
Went with air shifter package from Schnitz that uses a 6oz CO2 bottle to power it. Can be programmed to trigger off horn button or auto shift. Shift times are programmable by gear & RPM. Plug & play system with wiring harnesses,
CO2 bottle bracket, ram mount. I had something like this on both of my previous 2 ZX14"s and my ZX12.

For road racing, I'd prefer a foot quickshifter. For any other racing, air would be my choice.

Why not an electric shifter instead of air?

Drag racing Rook. I won't be doing the riding, to old and reaction times to slow ( wise to know your limitations). I am going to ask the rider who rode my last 2012 ZX14R to a 8.81 160 mph 1/4 mile to see what we can get out of this bike. Won't be doing a lot of racing but I am curious how this bike stacks up against the Louisville Slugger bike we raced in 2013. They are both stock wheelbase bikes on street tires and only bolt on mods. My current bike will not be as fast because it will not be tuned for race fuel. The air shifter will at least make riding it easier and more consistent. If we can get it down to very low 9's or high 8.90's I will call it a day. The kill box on this shifter allows me to use it as a foot shifter. When the drag strips open this spring or summer we will see. Looking forward to a challenge.
