Full exhaust, what now?
06/04/14 4:48 PM

I'm sorry, I have read through threads and tried to search, but I'm still confused. I just got a yoshimura r55 full exhaust and installed it Monday night. I know it's not the most popular exhaust, but it was what I could afford and I really like the looks personally. But I'm not sure what the next step is. The bike is definitely lighter, definitely louder, and it seems to pull a little harder although that could just be my imagination. So now, do I need a power commander v ? Is it better to send my ecu to Cblast and have it flashed? Or should I do both? I'm sorry, I know this has probably been beat to death but this is my first full system. All of my previous bikes just had slip ons and maybe a double bubble. Since I figured I'd be keeping the 14r for a long time, I decided to go full system. Thanks in advance for any help.

According to Cblast himself and the tuner he works with, all you need is the reflash. It will unleash a hellish monster from within your bike. :)

2016 ZX-14R SE ABS (Harambike) - Brock's Ti Dual CT, 2WDW Flash, double bubble windscreen, Givi Tanklock 15L with 12v outlet, SW Motech Quick-Lock Evo Contour rack with Givi V35 bags, SW Motech tail mount with Coocase Wizard top box, KAOKO cruise control, fender eliminator, Vortex rearsets, Vortex V3 fuel cap, Vortex spools, Stompgrips, PSR SBK passenger pegs, Helibars risers, R&G radiator guard, frame plugs, Starrotors 55w 6K HIDs, Brembo MC/Rotors/Calipers, braided steel brake lines. 204hp/120tq

2013 ZX14R (Mjölnir)- Brock's Ti CT Meg, 2WDW Flash. 202hp 119tq. RIP

2008 Kawasaki ZX-10R trackfighter - Yoshimura R55, PCV, Servo Eliminator, Traxxion AK20 Cartridges, Penske Triple Clicker shock, EBC HH pads, Pirelli Superbike SC2 slicks, custom subframe, RSV4 tail, Ignition relocate, KX450F number plate, Apex adjustable clipons, CRG levers, Lever guards, Vortex rearsets, Stomp Grips, XT Lap Timer. 188hp, and not as much tq as the 14R!

Thanks for the answer. I really didn't want to spend money on both if I don't need both. So after a Cblast flash, do I need to get the bike dynoed? Or is this an unnecessary step? Also, if I get my ecu flashed, I have to ship it off to Cblast I assume. So I will be unable to ride my bike during this time. Is this a mod best to wait until after riding season?

The ECU reflash is a relatively quick process. I can't speak for individual tuners, but the guy I use has it done in less than an hour, so your down time should be minimal.

The dyno isn't really necessary, other than to bring results back here to show your 14R riding family! Unless you feel something is amiss, it's usually a plug and play ordeal for the end user. Get it done, man.

Now that you have installed ur full system, all you need is to send ur ecu to Sebastian and get CBlasted! No need for a pcv. Also, did you block your pair? That is also a suggestion. As you can read from alot of peeps lately, it's an awesome upgrade to your machine. And matched with a full system... watch out!

It is not necessary to get dynoed. That's only of you want to know your machines output or if you were going to custom tune. With a flash, no need for any tuning. Just plug n play n hang the fuck on!

That's a cool lookin exhaust system, I was crawling all over one the other day! On the R it looks kind GP racer! I like it. But yessir, with a flash you won't need anything else, just to ride and enjoy! If you get her dynoed you can share that shizzle with all of us horsepower junkies and hooligans!
Shoot me a pm or contact me if ya have any questions I can help with bud. My email etc., is in my sig.
