Virgin Ride
03/18/09 11:49 AM

After sitting lonely, shiny and taunting me, in my garage for the past 2months with 0kms on her, I am finally gonna take her out and break her hymen and giver her first fill up as the dealer put like 2 litres of gas in it.... LAME!!!! today or tommorrow supposed to be well above freezing and roads are all clear... except for gravel on the side streets, can't wait to roll her out!!!! I'll repost with my thoughts.... ps don't tell my wife she is against riding right now, wants me to wait till they clean the roads... which in Calgary after the amount of snow we had this year and the amount they spent on snow removal I am sure the gravel won't be cleaned up till july or august!!!

The wait is over!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! I put 70km on her filled her up and I still have a boner!!! Even tho I could hardly feel my finger tips by the end it was freakin worth it!!! Can't wait until she is broken in and I can take her over 4k rpms, not that I didn't get her over it a couple times... but not too much... I do think I need to take it in and have the bike set up for me, I am over 200 and the suspension feels a little soft, and I know I have to break in the tires and am weary of all the gravel, but I dunno if I like those stock tires.... but who am I to say it was 4 degrees celsius or 39f so I am sure the tires didn't get that hot... neways suposed to be warmer tommorrow 51f and warmer fri 53f...... it was a short ride and the cleaning is gonna take longer as there was some wet patches... oh well I do it with a huge frigin grin that is still planted on my face!!!!

It's got to be just about the best fuckin' bike EVER! Congratulations.

And yeah, the suspension is really on the soft side for us big guys which there seem to be a lot of here. I'm 6'3" and 235 and am strongly considering looking to the aftermarket for some spring/shock work. I think that I've got mine about as dialed in as it's going to be and it still feels like it just runs out of damping and the spring rate is just not enough, though I don't really understand Hooke's Law and all that shit. A good suspension tuner is definitely in my future.

otr fab, I bought the bike at Pro Am, not my first choice in dealerships seeings how they couldn't even get me a deal on a tail bag or anything, even tho I spent 10G's there, and they could even wash the friggen thing or fill it with gas... when I bought my Vulcan brand new from Bow Cycle it was clean and full of fuel so all I had to do was drive away!!! I only bought from them as they were the only ones with the Sapphire blue as the SE was a little to flash for me, don't get me wrong if it was just the flat black and a bit of the red I would be into it.... Oh and yes it is the best Fucking bike!!!!

yeah thats where I bought mine the blue one because the se was too much work to change colour. the fuel thing is funny cause mine only had about 2 litres too. I'm in the booth again today to paint on the emblems and put on the clear coat, hope to have the wheels back from the powder coaters next week. I've been dealing at pro am for 8 years now and have been quiet happy but they are changing and it doesn't seem to be for the better. I bought my zrx there and the ole lady bought her ex 500 so I always got good discounts on everthing but it's harder now and if I'm buying a new pipe I'm not going to pay 2-3 hundred more than I have to. see you on the road it ain't easy being green!

I can't say that they weren't nice the salesman was friendly, but he didn't sell me the bike. When I bought my Titan he was a good salesman with great customer service.... I am gonna be taking mine to the boys at Redline Motorsports in the SE closer to home, nicer shop, way cleaner, cheaper too.... unless of course for Warranty work... I buy my parts, and riding equipment there too, great little shop, if you ever wanna do some Dyno stuff and tuning they have all the tools, I think they have better prices on equipment and parts compared to the bigger boys in town..... I would recommend them!!! Check out their website....

I do have the manual I got it off the old site, lime green eh a true Kawi guy!!! I scared the shit out out of my self yesterday, combination of new tires, wet tires and cold tires..... I turned out of my community which the roads were a tad wet from melting onto the main street in first and oonly started rollin on the throttle lightly as I knew the tires were wet and boom the back wheel spun and came sideways on me, and like a scene from superbikes I corrected it and fixed it the back wheel came back the other way and then straight.... dunno how I fixed it, I just did continued down the road with an underwear full of shit and my asshole now the size of the eye of a needle!!! Must have been the dirt biking background cause I haven't spun the tire by accident before, have locked them and have stand stilled burn outs before, but never in motion..... That torque is crazy on this bike!!! We are still in the dating stage and getting used to her, she more woman than I have had for a while !!!!!!

Kinda, retired military was aircraft structures and my trade is sheet metal , composites, machining, welding, painting, sewing. Now I'm an aircraft sheet metal contractor. My bike fell over when I parked it in the driveway with 0 kms and broke a turn signal, side pnl and lower fairing. I repaired the turn signal and the pnls cost 500 dollars to replace.
