Got my Throttlemeister Friday, installed over the weekend...took all of 20 minutes installed and set up perfect....it works great, and best part is you can still twist the throttle even at full lock as a failsafe....really a nice product...snapped some pics after i cleaned her up ...

Wow these look so neat and tidy. I went for an Omni cruise, which I haven't used yet but might change to a set of these.

How does fail safe work?

I had one on my ZX-10R and while I rarely used it, when I did, it was nice. They are VERY well made and it's clear why they cost so much more than those cheapo throttle locks.

Just to explain for those who haven't had them before. The Throttlemeisters are engineered bar ends that just create an adjustable resistance on the end of the throttle tube by turning in one direction or the other. Even at a strong resistance you can still turn the throttle in either direction. A great point with these is that there is nothing bulky hanging off your throttle grip, and adjustments on the fly are a piece of cake.

I had these on my r1. While I loved how they work, I don't think Ill ever buy another set. I must be getting cheap in my older years (42, lol).

The Go Cruise does almost the same thing, same principal and is 20 bucks.

And OP, I'm not posting this to knock your thread. More to give someone who might be interested in something like this an alternative to try to see if they like it. Then if they want to spend the extra coin on the best option out there; they can step up to the Throttlemeister's and no loose much money.

That go cruise is a cheap knock off of the omni cruise. Different way of locking the throttle.

Well, cheap in some ways; not so in others. lol. I really wanted to get the throttlemeisters again, but when I read about the alternative - I decided to try it first. To me, for as much as I use it; its good enough. Not that the meister's aren't worth the money, but I had something already that did the same job. why switch now? kinda thing.

I will likely end up with them at some point, especially if they are heavier than the oem ends. On my R1 they were, so that was an added bonus. Not that I get a ton of vibes; but less it better. I have had hand surgery on my throttle hand, and sometimes it gets to me, depending on the weather. That's why I have "grip puppies" installed as well. They help diminish some vibes, and also I have to squeeze down on a larger diameter throttle, which is easier on my hands.

As for the exhaust, I wanted the best system I could get. and I have no regrets, none at all. I cant imagine anything sounding better. We know its the lightest type (except the CT single or meg), and maybe other companies full Ti systems. And I believe it to make about as much HP, or more than anyone else's systems. Its a win all around.

Oh, and while on the cheap discussion. I did pay for it, but indirectly. So it was easy to go for the most expensive system out there. My bike took an unapproved trip in someone's pickup truck. Was recovered the next day, and after I got it back; the insurance co cut me a check for replacement of both factory mufflers, since they were scratched up from flopping around in the bed. another win win. lol. (factory mufflers are like $1100 each. I most likely wouldn't have done anything with the exhaust until next year, when the bike is paid off.

OP; did you go with the heavy Throttlemeisters, or the standard version?

If you did go with the heavy ones, notice any difference?

Did you order direct from Throttlemeister or does someone have it cheaper? I think I'am going to try them.

I ordered from throttlemeister because I wanted the black/silver milled...I found them all black milled on amazon from a seller for I think 10 bucks cheaper...they came the week I ordered in like 3-4 days and packed well

I think I'm going to do the same. I sure wish someone designed a dedicated plug and play cruise control for our bikes.

My buddy adapted a car cruise control to his Blackbird, works fantastic. It keeps him right at the preset MPH, without any variation. It is strange to follow him through the twisty bits, with him only holding onto the left bar

It was a major PITA to set up, and I'm not willing to do that.

I kinda wish I had bought the throttlemeister instead of the Kaoko throttle lock, it works good, but I had a throttlemeister on my busa, and I liked it better ... Oh well ..
