Im not doubting that COOTER but I find it strange that it just shows going into yellow on the 14 one But each time he goes right up in the redline zone on the 14r Look for yourself ! if ya gunna do an apple fer an apple to be fair

Man, I just got my intel inside and watt? They came out with a keyflutertooter whiphersnapher? "Let me turn of ktrac?" Shutter-shutter? No wonder they use that clutch knackers keyjumperhoseafats.
Going to be interesting next year.

Actually, the test is accurate, but they adjusted the RPM gauges on the "R" dyno pull.
If you look at 2.02, notice the range on the RPM gauge is set from 0 to 14K on the earlier model.
At 4.58 notice the RPM range is now from 0-11K on the "R" so it would look as if it's going higher in RPM's but it's not.

Would not make a hill of beans difference if he took the gen 1 to 20 grand on the tach .. That gen 1 was falling off so hard on the top end it looked like hooker driving for a dollar bill on the side walk ... Just look at both bikes at 10700 .. That is a 41 HP difference ..

Smokinzx14Hey it,s a better bike no doubt but even in this big brown Land theirs not any times or spots when I can use most of my 2010 ZX1400 full potential, I can at will leave nearly all my mates fer Dust, & I Do !!

? How fast (hypofeticaly) you gone!but at 21 miles over if your caught more than twice ya lose that loved machine @ 90 miles p/hr and lets be real IMO most buy the ZX14 for sports touring not trac days so for the average joe tell me please where are ya gunna use the extra 25hp ? & I was one of the first here to champain the new at the time ZX14-15-Suppercharged quite awhile back as Im interested in the technoligy that helps the average joe in a split second LMS

Link | Top | Bottomto avoid some dick slamming his brakes on in front me (June2010) where most of us ride (not on Dragstrips) yeah that was 19 months ago i just had more surgery last Wednesday & that was at only 20-25 Kmph @ intersection on a 2010ZX14 with 50 more HP than my 04CBR1100xx Had & yet hitting a lefthand 35 kmph bend on that (2 up) far to hot 150 kmph my Birds brakes got me around that bend !so from my "REAL LIFE" experiance I would say fuck the extra HP!! bin there done that! & yeah give me more! but I really luv the Idea of a slipper clutch/K Trac & ABS & if I didn't dump $23k on now !only a 3000mile ZX14 & might have got the new ZX14r instead !I still absolutely still luv my Big Red ZX1400 & know it would be a waste of $$$$$$ to trade now

Being a new member I know this was a year ago, the speed of the accident. can vary a lot to the outcome in" Pain cost" ! My first big accident was in 1985 @ 23 years/young,on my CBX750F My dad had just died, I stupidly tried to see how fast I could get around this "S" bend I entered it @ 155kms (r/h) then on my flip (l/h) there were 3 boys with small stones thrown out in front of me all the time I had, was to say ( O SHIT ) the result was only a skin graft to my left knee and minimal damage to my bike. Now 25yrs later on to my new accident.the 14/6/2010. I was 5 minutes from home,( and now with hindsight, the week before my wife felt the rear end feel odd,She didn"t tell me that she did not want me to go for a ride that day!!!!!, she said wear your armoured pants!!!!!!, I said no its warm enough,!!!!! Then two thirds through the ride ,I waved 7 bikes passed me.!!!!( rear tire @ limit 4000 kms )we were in the Adelaide Hills, At the next town we went past the 7 bikes(parked) we turned off left at a "T" & stopped, my mate wanted a smoke, I said to Dave my bike feels good r/h turns but scary when turning left.He replied yes it looks to be nearly f..d ! Dave then turned off 10 min from home,Then only 5 min from home I was going down the main street in town just before a cross/section (Doing 40kmph in a 50kmph zone) I glanced in my l/h mirror ( By this time I was two car lenghts from a tray top ute in front of me) It stopped Dead on the spot! I tried to turn hard left,"Again I said O SHIT", All can remember is hitting him in the rear left side of his tray, then seeing a cop stood next to me, and a off duty nurse putting her jacket under my head,(After I pulled my lid off).Apparantly I tried to stand up causing my r/h femur to come through my leg. Now I am off the road for 6-9 months, but as I said before the speed of the accident may vary "HEAPS" but the outcome can also vary!
AC/DC ROCKS

sounds like 6th gear is noticeably shorter....or just a lot more torque spooling up quicker. Very nice! You have a couple bubbly spots like the old 14. The 3.5 K fuel cut is still there. No matter, I have grown to love the pops and I wouldn't want to change that if I could.

Thanks Snuffy, but that whistling is the Dyno. The Dyno that the back tire spins during pulls weighs 1,000 lbs, if I am not mistaken it is making the whistling.
Pulls were done in 5th gear, and that's what is making me think about adding 2 more teeth in the rear once my shifter arrives.
