muzzy full system
04/20/10 5:08 PM

I ordered a muzzy m14 stainless system with stainless oval can , im wondering if there will be any issues with running it without a power commander ? I was going to go with slip ons but the price was real close, and you get the added benefit of lower weight and getting rid of all three converters.

You just wont get the full benifit of your new system with out the power comander. My bike never realy ran right until I got the custom map using a dyno.

The m10 is a great system, I thought about going with that one myself, but a little too loud for my taste.

My system finally showed up ! I have the old one completely removed ( pics to follow later ) and i'm picking up new gaskets tomorrow to start putting it back together. I only have one question, WHERE IN THE HELL ARE THE OLD GASKETS??? are they up inside the head ? I'm working off the floor ( no lift ) and I cant see inside the exhaust ports very well. any help would be appreciated.

the muzzy serves dual purpose....a bad azz pipe and a potato gun....stick a spud in that bad up and watch it shoot.

dd does muzzy include the plug for the airbox to block off the pair sys? if not you may wanna check out the how-to section and read rooks write up on it I can see y your having trouble I removed the lower and mid fairings and the radiator if i were you I wouldnt mess with those gaskets.Looks like yours is a bolt on system thats nice i had 8 springs up in there i had to get hooked up lol what a pain n the ass that was.

I think your right scottjkyl, thanks for the info, I'm going to chance it and use the stock gaskets that are already in place vs having to remove the radiator to see up in there to pull those suckers out. with only 700 miles on her im hoping she'll seal up tight. by the way, trying to hook up spings up there must of been a nightmare! and muzzy does not include the plug for the pair system.

DD, send your address to my e- mail, robert.lowman@honeywell.com and I will send you the little cap you need for your air box its the same thing brock recomends except its yellow. I have them here at work we use them on the jet engines to plug tubes and shit. All you do is pull the hose out trim it square and install the cap in line with the air box, you can see the inst. on brocks web site. You wont find this cap any where else! There are other ways of doing it but they are not acceptable IMO.

I never bothered with the plug. The M14 with the M10 can is loud so I went with the polished stainless oval. I sure do like it.

That looks sweet LAB3, just like my setup. I love the sound, and it rips. I have to get a powercommander pcv next, the fueling is now a little off.

Jamie at Fuel Moto has great prices on PCV or the PCIII USB. Your 14 looks Great. You will like the M14
it has great power band and is holding up great. 9,000 miles now, it needs to be repacked but I got use to the extra sound lol :-) O2 threaded port is a nice extra for data log and check your A/F.

Thanks lab3, I'll definately check fuel moto out. I am really impressed with the weight savings and powerband improvement, I'm sure it will get quite a bit better with the powercommander pcV. just received my heli-bar risers today, she's coming together nicely!
