what about the zx 10 front fender I heard that it'll keep my engine cooler (my right leg get toasted after 2 hr plus trip on hot days), and do I absolutely need a gen 3?... I ve found two 2008-09 on e bay for $99-$150 but am not sure they are gen 3. do gen3 zx 10 fenders need any mod b4 install?

Most guys use a '04-'07 zx10r or '05-'08 zx6r front fender. It requires that you purchase or make a set of brackets... The brackets have become harder to come by these days... not sure if anyone is making them at the moment... but there's a guy selling a fender and brackets here:
http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=3&TID=61368&set_time=

Blue07 modded his stock fender brackets to mount up a gen 3 zx10r fender. The thread is here:
http://zx14ninjaforum.com/messages.cfm?threadid=F44C3B0A-1372-66AE-3BDDBC82FB0AF775&page=1&searchTerm=zx10 fender#1
I ordered my brackets from Ohlins, but they won't work with stock forks.

I ve found these yterday: http://www.motostrano.com/ribarsl

Not sure if those would work on the zx14 or not... the big ninja uses this style:

None of the bar ends I've seen for hollow bars have that "recess"... and without it, there will be a big gap between the grip and bar end... especially with Rizoma grips. Since the throttle side grip also replaces the the throttle tube, and the throttle cable housing sits in a groove, it cannot be "fudged" over the fill that gap.

Yes, I'm the only person to touch the bike with a wrench since the dealer installed the battery when I bought it.

I bought the bike as a leftover in November, and I bought parts either used or on closeout whenever possible... I'm not in it anymore $$$ than it would cost to pay MSRP (otd) for a 2011.

It was clean before my roadtrip... lol

That room is about 25' deep by 12' wide. The entire shop is 60' x 25'. I don't know how much the slab cost to pour... my shop was already on my property when I purchased it. Sorry.

Hey Dogo,

Love the bike (but i might be biased)... what type of seat do you have on there? I thought the cowl didn't fit with after market seats, or connie seats?

TY... The seat was done by New Image Upholstery. It's done using the factory seat pan, so it fits the bike and cowl perfectly... Very happy with it... Didn't stop me from picking up a Corbin and a Sarent also, though. lol

Just added pics of those seats to the photobucket album (linked on pg.1) yesterday. The factory cowl works with those two seats as well.
