Wondering if anyone has heard of cam chain issues on the 2012 14R. My tuner just ported the head on his 2012 14R. When he had the cylinder head off, he noticed that the cam chain was, in his word, "gnarly", i.e., kinked in several places. He replaced it. Unfortunately, he did not dyno his bike immediately before replacing the cam chain. I recently dynoed mine (9,100 miles) after installing an Akra header onto my existing slipons and lost a couple of HP through the rpm range compared to my previous dyno session several thousand miles previously. Granted, different days and different conditions, but same dyno. My tuner suspects that the cam chain may be the problem.

I already had the TBR black series carbon slipons, so I just added the Akra header. I can't get past the bulkiness of the Akra cans.

The 12 and the 13 come from the factory ported and polished. Why mess with it?

I'm not messing with mine. My tuner is the one who did some headwork. He said the head was OK, but could use some improvement.
