You guys have a nice forum here and I've enjoyed reading through. Just picked up a '15 ZX14R from the original owner. Love this motorcycle... stepped off a '00 ZX12R. 14 is original other than double bubble screen, M4 drag pipes with stage 3 "quiet" baffles, bar risers and 12v PowerPoint point and USB sockets with brackets provided by ZXAdventure (forum member). 12v bracket sets!

Beautiful 14! The M4s were a little loud for ya, huh? I love loud pipes. I'm sure there's a good number of people I pass out on the road that don't feel the same as I do though.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the kind words.

M4s are definitely loud... the baffles help somewhat... and I wonder if they sap the power at all. Like the idea of running hard under the powlice radar.

I have a friend who has been saved by his Uniden radar detector many times but he still was recently chased down by a DNR officer just on a visual estimate of his speed. He was cuffed at a stop light and released, probably because of the Covid/jail situation. As for laser, I don't know for certain there is any effective way to evade that. I got zapped from a cop on a bridge and I was a half mile away. I got the ticket went to court and lost. I paid. They took off 6 points and I'm very fortunate my insurance company never was informed nor apparently did they check my record. There's one reason I'm very leery about blasting it way over 100 real often. 120 is about as fast as I go very briefly and not real frequently. LSR or drag racing would be the only place I really would feel comfortable going fast now.

As for the exhaust, I doubt the baffles are slowing you down enough to notice unless you are doing competition riding. I'm sure the sound will sure peak up a cops ears though.
