I am not so good with the wrench. Are there any tricks to installing the Muzzy?

Muzzy fender eliminator is pretty straight forward to install. The 3 bolts that hold the stock fender on have to be removed, and the toolbox's 4 bolts also have to be removed. Disconnect light fron stock fender and install it onto muzzy fender eliminator, zip tie the wire in the slots provided. Install fender eliminator, plug in light & put your plate on... 10 minutes.

I made my own. Got a metal vanity plate from autozone. It's light thin aluminum. Cut it to size and bent the end to hold the plate. I used all the factory holes. For the tag light I got a small 4" led strip in white and wired it to the stock wiring. Took about 30 min to do and cost was about $30.

And the good thing about the Muzzy is you don't have to drill any #@#@* holes in your bike.

I have muzzys but I'm going to order a Yoshimura. For my tastes the Muzzy hangs down too low with when the OEM light is mounted on top. I like the more flush to the rear fender look better with the integrated light.

Even though the Competition Werkes does require a hole drilled, it does look killer with the futuristic light shape, and being mounted flush against the fender.

Hole drilling aside, I do love the look of the Competition Werkes fender eliminator. The little light that comes with it is very fitting to the bike's look, in my opinion. And your plate fits flush up against the tail.

I did this on my ZX14, and the first time I went on a trip and it rained, the whole back end of the bike got encrusted with mud and grime.

Amazing the junk thats on paved roads that gets flung off tires in the rain.

So having learned that looking like a race bike isn't always practical, my Concours 14 has fender extenders front and rear, and they help a lot!

Well finally got my Muzzy fender eliminator fitted, took nearly a month to get here but satisfied with the result.
I fabricated a peice of alloy to bolt to the number plate to hold the original reflector, as we have a m/cycle cop who likes to ping riders for mods to the fender here in South East Queensland. So crossed fingers all should be good!

Piss poor picture, but its hot to go back out there to take another.

There is a rule, not sure if it's Australia wide (but certainly Qld) that your rear fender must be long enough, that if a line at 45 degrees is drawn from your swing arm at the axle nut that it should meet the bottom of the fender/reflector.
Some of the local constabulary (motorcycle) have made patterns up that they place against your bike to see if they conform. If not you then receive a ticket, I think it is about $90.00 & 1 demerit point.
I have been pulled over once on a previous bike, managed to get out of it with a warning, still had to replace the rear fender assy though wich cost me a $100 bucks.
So being extra careful this time. Can't afford to lose any more points. There are certain local roads that I no longer use as these freindly guys seem to congregate there on an all to regular basis.
That fender chop on your previous would get you pinged up here for sure!

Fair enough mate, funny thing about it though on another ZX forum i,ve been talking Don i didn,t know he was one of the attending Motorcycle Copper,s at the scene of my shattered R/H femur stack i had (Queens Birthday 2010) for a while i was chatting with him,his first post to me was this

hey bean07, Murray St / Calton rd intersection GAWLER ????

If so, I just happened to be there in a 'Professional Capacity'

Don.

Sounds good!, will have to see how shifts go, in case you haven't twigged yet, I'll probably be in a nice white commodore with blue stripes and pretty coloured lights!!!

Either way, may try to catch up some time, me and a few of my mates try to do the odd ride on a Saturday when shifts allow.

Cheers,

Don.

what im getting at is their were several Cycle cops at the scene and this is it just back from repairs how they saw it then and Don has seen all the mods i did to it & said nothing about everthing changed

based on this my bike should of been picked on i can see it should be at roughly in line with the Cans on her
