Howdy all.Lots of 14 owners are using Mobil 1.Can anyone tell me any particular "whys".I mean...just cause someone recommended it?Or are there concrete things about it that can be shown in the real world.

Mobil 1 is a top notch, leading synthetic and haven't had a bad history of false claims, such as Castrol had a few years back.Castrol is up to date now, but have never been let down with Mobil products of any sort.

Blue I started using mobile1 some time ago when I had seen an oil test. They tested automobile oils against motorcycle specific oils. Out of all the oils tested mobile1 was the only oil to retain over 90% (98%) of it's original weight after high heat testing. Mobile1 was also more shear resistant.

What I personally have found out is that 1. I don't have to add oil in between changes and 2. At 3000 miles the oil looks the same coming out as going in.

Currently I'm giving shell rotella synthetic and am pretty pleased.

Not surprising. I've always heard that 10-40 shears to a 30 weight rather quickly.
